"Or what" is the correct answer to that. Flush with my renascent, if modest, carpentry skills, and recently equipped with the tools of the trade, I decided to build myself a workbench in the garage I recently repaired.
So I did; and it is a fine, fine workbench. It has legs like an elephant and is firmly (did I say FIRMLY?) anchored to two walls. You could test-fire a low-yield thermonuclear device on that thing and it wouldn't budge. But alas, in my desire to avoid making it too low - so I won't have to stoop, y'know - I made it just a wee bit too high to be comfortable on the old arms. So my next project was to make a short platform to stand on. At least I no longer have excess lumber to worry about.
