Any you old farts like them, ever?

I still have 'em on rotation on my PC.

"Planet Claire" is my favorite of theirs.

I think they were pretty innovative.

I can't think of anything of theirs I've heard that I didn't like. I'm more familiar with their later stuff. "Love Shack" and "Roam" were pretty big for them when I was in high school. But I've heard a couple of their earlier songs like "Rock Lobster" and "Private Idaho" that are pretty good.

I resemble that remark. :D

I did/do like them a lot, primarily because Kate Pierson has a wonderfully lovely voice and I'm a sucker for quirky songs. To me they seemed just this side of Dr. Demento...kind of a serious band, but in the Weird Al mold.

The only problem is the gay guitar player...couldn't/can't stand him.

Their music reminds me of my college days, good and bad times. Around the same time Kate Pearson did a duet with Iggy Pop called "Candy" that was also very good.

I don't know the facts but I done heard they started the group back in college as a gag and it took off.

the story you used to always read was that Fred Schneider's dad bought all their equipment so they couldn't kick him out. as the story goes.

I know they're one of the star-studded groups from Athens, Georgia (UGA).

I hated them in the early 80's when I was in high school but got their Best OF album in college when I had a girlfriend into alternative music.

I am very sophisticated now.

Echo and the Bunny Men?

Still not for me.

Private Idaho is one of my favorite by them. I don't like their later stuff near as much.
