:eddie: US anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan hails Venezuela's Chavez Tue Jan 24, 6:54 PM ET

CARACAS (AFP) - Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, mother of a US soldier killed in Iraq (http://search.news.yahoo.com/search/news/?p=Iraq), joined more than 10,000 anti-globalization activists in Caracas, where she hailed Venezuela's leftist President Hugo Chavez.
"I admire him for his resolve against my government and its meddling," said Sheehan, who gained notoriety when she camped outside US President George W. Bush (http://search.news.yahoo.com/search/news/?p=President+George+W.+Bush)'s ranch last year to protest the Iraq war. She said she hoped to meet Chavez later in the week.
Sheehan was among more than 10,000 people from across the Americas who took to the streets of the Venezuelan capital Tuesday in an anti-war protest that launched the six-day Caracas World Social Forum (WSF).
My government should not meddle anywhere, the "peace mom" told AFP during the march, which was marked by anti-Bush slogans.
We must stop the Iraq war, we must not let it happen again, said Sheehan, who has been arrested at least twice while demonstrating outside the White House.
Tuesday's march ended outside the armed forces headquarters, on an avenue usually reserved for military parades. "It's a peace route now," Sheehan said.
Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, said she would remain in Caracas until the WSF concludes on Sunday, and would address participants on several occasions.
She said Venezuela's foreign ministry sponsored her visit.

Maybe that be-yotch should just stay down there. "We should not meddle", blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I guess we should just sit here with our hands in our laps, and watch Iran complete their nuclear weapons program and blow Israel off the map. Think they'll stop there? Cindy Sheehan is even more stupid than she is homely.

She will as soon as the Iraq foreign ministry offers to sponsor her.

She has become such a caricature, it is so sad. I could have understood and respected her outspokeness regarding her son. But she quickly went off the deep end and drank the kool-aid...now her comments are awaited to she how ridiculous she has become...

She is sad, and a nut case.

Remember this quote?

"America is not worth dying for!"

Or even better, her call to get out of occupied New Orleans on michael moores website???

What a loon.

I doubt I'd be publicly consorting with governments hostile to the US.

Someone else may know if this is true but I was told just this week that she gave him up in a custody hearing after his fathers divorce and that she did it again later with another son.
Like I said, I have no idea if that is true and don't really care enough to look it up.:D

"Federal occupation of New Orleans" really doesn't relate to the death of her son.

Not even Clinton is above reproach (http://www.counterpunch.org/sheehan01102006.html) with her.

And about Bill Clinton . . . . You know, I really think he should have been impeached, but not for a blow job. His policies are responsible for killing more Iraqis that George Bush. I don't understand why to rise to the level of being president of my country one has to be a monster. I used to say that George Bush was defiling the Oval Office, but it's been held by a long line of monsters. We don't have to support our administrations to love our country. True patriots of my country dissent when our country's doing something so wrong.

And SBSB, I emphatize for her loss. But that does not give her an excuse to cozy up to a Communist dictator. Furthermore, it doesn't exempt her patriotism from being questioned when she does things like this or says some of the idiotic things she's said.

I know how I WOULDN'T react thanks to her.

Got a lady I work with that lost her son in Iraq. She actually had custody of her son and her son actually lived with her.

She didn't badmouth her country, or try to undermine the entire war effort, or cuddle up with tyrannical dictators like Chavez.

The differences couldn't be larger between the two people.

She does NOT love America. People who love America don't say things like "America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for." I'm not seeing how someone could love a country that they think these things about.
