this seller is a flippin genius

I was looking around at iPod accessories yesterday and ran across this auction:

it is for the BOX, NOT the iPod itself, just the BOX (and a few accessories that came with it)! Someone is gonna be REALLY mad when they get this in the mail!!!!!! ebay can't do anything to this guy cause he has made it very clear what he is selling and hasn't misled anyone, it's just that people are so stupid they think they're getting the iPod for this price!!!!!! (Now if they were actually getting one for $305, it would be a steal!)

I still have the box and itunes CD from mine, wonder if I could get by with this?!?!?!?!?! I'll even go buy a $10 adaptor cable to put in it!

I emailed the seller and said "d00d, you are a flippin genius, I wish I had thought of this" and he replied:
"well thank you, this is a very different than most messages I get that read: You a moron! WHo sells boxes! Your and idiot. Blah Blah Blah. Anywho, wasn't really my idea, my friend told me about it. It works only with you have little to no conscience. Thanks. Joe."

Even if the seller demands to return the item, the seller still makes about $60 because of his 20% return policy.

He may end up $300+ richer but he's going to get some negative feedback.

he had one, but it was mutually withdrawn because the buyer realized they had goofed and not read the description well enough.

I agree. While the buyer has an obligation to read the auction and thus bears responsibility, I've always felt that preying on people's stupidity or ignorance was a form of stealing.

Kind of like when an older child tells a younger child "I'll give you this great big nickel for that tiny little dime".
