Interesting....

How come these guys ar enot in a Conference..

and how come they schedule like 4 Big 10 and 2 or 3 Pac 10 teams every season.

How come they never come down south and get some Big 12/SEC action?
Anyone?

With all their traditional matchups it's almost like they are in a conference. However, they really should be forced to make it official or they don't get to participate in BCS bowls. It's ridiculous that they can go to the BCS and not share any of the money. Kind of an unfair advantage.

It will be a while, but we're in the works to play Notre Dame in 2013 and 2015. Check out our NCG's we've got coming up in the next several years..I'm liking it, we'll have some neat matchups.

Because they are on a mission from God.

Long standing rivalry with Michigan.
Long standing rivalry with Purdue.
Semi-rivalry with Michigan State, been playing each other for years.

Long standing rivalry with USC.

Long standing rivalry with Navy.

That's part of the reason they won't join one.

The other part is they don't need to. They bring in the audience, they get the big TV contract. I would love to be in their position.

But with the same token, they don't get any money from the BCS games if they're not in one, since they're not in the conference. Plus, they restructured the BCS this year and ND doesn't get all that much anymore.

I believe we were offered the independent gig before they were. But NBC wouldn't let us play Texas on the traditional date, so...

Cool! I love the Irish next to my Sooners but I did not go to either school. Can I still root for them? ;)

I believe they don't get the $14 million or whatever like other teams, only $5 million or so, but they will get a couple million every year even if they don't win a game all season.
