View Full Version : How do you eat your eggs?

I like mine either over easy, sunny side up or fried. As long as the white part is firm and the yolk runny.
I eat the white part first then I pop the yolk and sop it up with my toast.

That's the only way heterosexuals eat their eggs.
Over easy, scrambled with/without cheese.
I'm glad my egg preference keeps me hetero.

I like my eggs fried - over easy - yolk a little bit runny - have to mash the whites and the yolk together - can't stand the taste or texture of egg whites by themselves. I prefer to eat my eggs with saltine crackers or biscuits rather than toast. To top it off I need either ham, bacon, sausage and some cheese grits and hash browns.

I'll eat them any way you cook 'em, cept for sunny side up, that's gross.

Sunny side up or (gasp) poached. I dig the yolk being runny too so I can "sop it up wit' a biskit." I eat some of the whites, but not all of the whites. When i was a kid, I never ate the whites.
If I'm forced to eat scrambled, I prefer them with cheese.
If I eat them scrambled, I put ketchup on them. That's right....ketchup. I know some of you will cry about it, but don't knock 'til you've tried it....good stuff.
Smashed in the skillet, scrambled or boiled.
I don't care for "runny" as a description to any egg I intend to eat.

that's how my dad eats eggs. I eat them scrambled with nothing on 'em. But I have to have crispy bacon on the side.
My birdie eats eggs scrambled. He likes them so much he even has a song. (http://media.putfile.com/CalvinEggSong20)
Pops knows what he's talking about.

Over easy or poached, runny yolk.
I too mash it all up together into little pieces and then eat the yolk and whites together.

Green, with ham.
I'll eat them anyway, but the perfect ones have 100% firm whites and 100% runny yolks. It's an art form.
The Mrs only eats eggs fried hard, brown, and crisp; no art required.

I take those two little white blobs next to the yolk out before I do anything with an egg. I dont know what that is but no way will I eat it.
I keep some fresh tortillas and salsa in the fridge from the local mexican restaurant here in town, unless its summer and I have fresh tomatoes and cilantro. In that case I make my own. Having that on hand makes it easy if anyone wants a quick juevos ranchero. I just wrap some scrambled eggs and shredded cheese in a tortilla and you have breakfast in a jif. You can add some sausage, bacon or ham if you like.
poached in the microwave or scrambled eggbeaters, with light sour cream and tomatoes and/or salsa

I hadn't thought of that, but yes it does.
is the yolk runny?
Not if you cook it long enough, like 2 minutes.

Put a tsp of vinegar in boiling water, crack the egg into a container, slowly add egg to water, cook until done.

I think of a lot of things nobody else does.

Small saucepan, buttered on the bottom and sides, fill with cold water, break eggs carefully into the water, simmer until set. Remove with a slotted spoon, preferably onto toast.
