What is your opinion, does AD leave after next year? What do you think would make him leave or stay?

AD will be given 10 additional years of eligibility. how dare you even suggest he's leaving.

Why would he leave? He has to graduate and get a bachelor's if he's going to get into med school.

FACT: Most college football players need at least 5 years to graduate.

OK...say he graduates. Do you think he would pass the NFL up for Grad school and Med school? Several guys got their degree later. I know Shaq did.

I'll go out on a limb and speculate that he'll not only leave, he'll be almost a lock for the No. 1 pick. I honestly believe the Texans would draft him over Reggie right now.

The Texans are biased against non-Texans anyway, so since AD is from Tejas and Bush is from CaliPORNia..they'd get him quick. They are about to have a Texan coach in Kubiak too.

Not a bias against Texans. They have an Ag center and are about to bring two Texas coaches into the fold (Kubiak as HC; and Gray as DC). Casserly does have a rediculous amount of manlove for Pete Carroll though, so you have a point. I still think they'd take AD first - or at least be fools not to.

Kubiak is an Aggy..and a perennial Bronco back-up QB. They acting like he is Gary son of the Football God, coming to save the Texans....please.

You're right. Damn that's actually a pathetic observation then. Casserly has been oft criticized for not drafting more local product. Passed up DJ last year. Drafted Dave Ragone over Chris Simms. I had assumed he was trying to make a legitimate point about the Texans.

High picks:

D. Carr - Cali
J. Gaffney - Florida
A. Johnson - Florida
J. Babin - Michigan
T. Johnson - Florida

Not seeing much Texas bias. Looks like they like kids from CA, FL and MI if anything.

If AD doesn't jump to the NFL, it is because something (God forbid) happens this next season, like an injury. All things being equal, he rushes for over 2000 yards and 25 TDs, wins the Heisman, and goes #1 in the 2007 Draft. Dear Jesus, please let that happen.

Simms is not a Texan, he is a NFL brat from up North.
And Ragone is from Louisiana...

And maybe their highest picks are not from Texas but if you look at the roster they do have alot of Texans on it.

You look at almost any NFL roster and there are a good number of Texans on it. TX, CA and FL produce a strong majority of NFL talent.

No, because then we wouldn't get to see anybody else play. I personally want to see Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray as Juniors in the backfield. They both look promising. Not saying they'll replace AD, but I want to see what they can do. Did anybody want to see Greg Pruitt go? No, but if he didn't, we never would have had Little Joe or Billy Simms.

Billy Sims..

Jeremiah Trotter is the best thing out of Hooks, Texas since Billy Sims. Pretty impressive for a lil' rinky dink high school with 200 students.

Somebody would be a fool not to go pro after 3 yrs. if they are a top 3 draft pick. Injuries happen, and they can sure ruin a sports career, FAST. Only way it makes any sense at all is if your team is absolutely LOADED with talent, and a MNC is a very strong possibility....

It all depends on how well he does in 06 and that is as much to be answered by the OL as by AD himself. Plus, if he can stay health for the whole year just as it would be for anyone else. If he has the opportunity to have an optimum season I agree with Cap that he goes as #1. He'll have more upside than any other draft elligible RB I can think of.

It may not be a 100% lock but I've operated under the assumption from day 1 that I saw him play against Bowling Green that we would get 3 great years out of AD and then he goes pro. I view him pretty much as a senior next year so I'm not really let down when he goes. In a way I hope he goes because the most likely scenario under which he stays would be that he was injured and to the point that teams wouldn't risk a high round draft pick on him. So I hope he stays healthy, gets about 2200 yds and 20 TDs next year, we win NC # 8, he gets a Heisman and goes in the top 2-3 picks in the draft.

I'm on the fence with this one so I won't predict. But I know Adrian wants a Heisman and a National Title.

unless he wins both the heisman and the NC, he wont go. he needs to make up for this year.

There is no way he stays unless he gets injured....

If he gets a NC next year and no Heisman, there's not a chance of him staying. The NC trumps the Heisman any day. Ask Vance.

I'm not too sure if the opposite is true...

Realistically, the only thing that keeps him from going pro is a bad season or an injury.

Exactly! It simply does not make sense for his financial and athletic future to stay after next year (barring injury). A buddy and i were talking about this a couple of weekends ago and we came to the conclusion that AD is gonna be the "eddie george" situation all over again. When Eddie got to the NFL what did they do? They ran him into the ground for 4or5 straight year. Does everyone remember when Eddie George was one of the premier RB in the league. Crazy huh. Now look at him. They both have and had that same kind of punishing run style that only leads to a short career in the NFL. It sux but thats exactly what i see happening to AD. He'll go to an average team building and they'll give him the ball 30+ times a game for however many years in a row till they've run him the ground.

p.s. another note about him leaving. Think about this. Everyone should be happy that the NFL has an age limit on when you can come into the league. If the NFL had the NBA's rules..after his freshman year AD would have not stood for All Day. It would have stood for ALL DONE!!! Just be happy we got to see him for 3 years as opposed to just one. Something to think about.

As of the CBA this year the NBA has a minimum age of 20 on draft day.

He'll be gone if he gets just one inch from the offensive line.

Remember the play against Oregon where he goes outside and is tripped up just as he's about to break it? Bomar comes running to him with his fingers barely parted as if to say, just one inch and your gone!
