Did you have fun driving over Trail Ridge Road?

That's a white knuckler particularly in snow and sleet with a herd of elk jumping out in front of you in mid July......

It was very cool, but no way I would want to drive it in inclimate weather. I thought Mrs Howzit and junior were going to get sick a couple of times.

Actually, looking at a map, I am thinking of Old Fall River Road. Is Trail Ridge the main paved road descending from about 12k ft? We took mountain bike trip where they carted us up and we road down. THAT was cool...

I wanna go on vacation this summer.

Somewhere warm, a beach, one of those cool places that has a hut on the beach and an outside shower and hardly any people around and a personal cabana boy to bring drinks.

And satilite T.V. but no phones, pagers, email.

And I want someone to go with.

Yea, Trail Ridge is the main paved road. Those roads are only open from early June to late August. We go up there and stay at the Lemon Lodge in Grand Lake. It's a great place.........

This I am not sure of. People say you can get tickets, but with the dollar so weak I'm not sure I would want to pay on the street with Euros. I paid $400 for 1st round tickets. For ****s and giggles I looked at Finals tickets, the cheapest you can find will be about $2000, and if a European team makes it to the Final, I would guess $5000 to impossible.

The trip will be fun no matter what, but if you are set on seeing some fagball I would recommend an advance purchase.

I would highly recommend Abaco. I would say to stay in Marsh Harbour and take the day ferry over to Treasure Cay (pronounced key). There is a seven mile beach with only one structure on it (a bar/restaurant). When we were there there were about 20 people on the whole beach.

I can't help you with someone to go with you. The wife might frown on it ;)

I'll one of two thing, both options are open to me:

I could stay home, get a summer job, and bust my hiney to make enough money to keep paying for college. OR I want to go up to Interlochen and be a counselor. Interlochen is um... a summer music learning oppurtunity :O. Hmm, band camp, except for the entire summer. Its up in Michigan, so I would get to be away from the Texas summer hea, I'd make a little bit of money working as a counselor, I'd get to be in charge of some kids, and I can take some classes. I could get some music theory out of the way, which would put me way ahead once I got back to school here. And plus my daddy went to Interlochen as a counselor, and he always talks about how much fun he had, so it would be neat to get to experience what he did.

Havent really made up my mind, though. Interlochen would be fun, but it still would put me in a tight place money wise.

How about doing something for yourself. I'd recommend the camp. You need to get away from, "following the crowd." I mean c'mon. A dye job, tramp stamp, and the fellas making you think hooking up w/ a chick is hot in your first semester.

You need to get away...

BTW, I don't know you, but you seemed a tad bit smarter before you left the farm...no offense.

WHOA!

I do NOT have a tramp stamp, thanks. And I have not "hooked up" with any chick. And as for dying my hair, well, I'm a girl, and I am allowed to change my look when I feel like it. To be honest, the entire plan was to bleach it so I could dye it red and be wierd. I just thought it was funny for me to have blonde hair.

I feel like I HAVE become "dumber" in some ways, but I dont think it's that big of a deal. I'm not doing drugs, not sleeping around, and I'm making good grades in my classes. I don't feel like I am doing anything wrong.

Second of all, getting a job WOULD BE for ME. My parents are helping me all they can with paying for school, but if I dont go the rest of the way, who else is going to? It would be a WHOLE lot easier to go have fun and not worry about money, but that wouldnt be very smart, would it? I dont know how they work it out with counselors, but I know just attending the camp, I would be paying more for two months there then I would a whole semester at College.

You called me, basically, stupid, whorey and a lezbian.

I know quite well the coolest thing isnt always the right thing. I'm a band dork, Ive never been into "whats cool" to begin with.

Working at Sonic and hanging out at a bowling alley? Excuse me? Last time I checked, they pay in money, just like anywhere else.

Maybe Its just my stupidity, but I've always believed that money was money, and if you have something, like college, to pay for, then you do what you need to do to make your money. Just like if you have a family to feed. There is NOTHING wrong about working wherever you can to make money. You do what you have to do.

I am NOT following any kind of crowd, I am making sure I dont end up back at home because I couldnt pay for my schooling.

I honestly wasnt trying to be rude, but I hear the same things you told me, and I hear them a lot. Just because I'm 18 doesn't mean I'm an idiot, and I make all the wrong choices. Truly, sorry to be defensive. But think how you would feel if you were constantly being told you were making wrong choices. In HS, I did everything RIGHT, and I know I did. I never did anything that could be considered even remotely wrong. In college, I've stepped outside of those barriers, and I've seen how far I can take things.
