I dont think they intimidate that easily :)

I was always surprised at how you could get the kind of detail you see in those pics when its moving/changing as quickly as it does. I was also surprised at how irregular the surface of the fireball is. For some reason I expected it to be some prefect sphere. Somebody page Ike for an explaination....

That is awesome. Isn't the technology to take those photos from the 40's or 50's? Makes me wonder what advances they have made in the past 60 years.

Wow.

I think (but am not sure) that those are from the Trinity test. If I'm remembering correctly, Edgerton was part of the Manhatten project.

Sweet pics. I like how the guy wires are being ignited just beyond the pressure wave.
