Huh?

I think they're knocking it down... There's a bulldozer up there pushing off huge hunks of the hill.

I read they are knocking it down...I thought all the proposals for the new site said they would keep the hill there. I'm bummed about that.

I have never heard it called that. Rhino read me an article about it. Apparently they are building one of those super malls. Its going to be the second largest in the US. Thats including all the restuarants and crap around it.

I don't care what they put in there as long as they put in a SUPER TARGET!

Sometimes I get the feeling you aren't in Houston anymore.

Did you ever hear the story about the soldiers that were taking target practice into that hill and a Tornando came through and killed a couple of them and injured some. That coming from my dad who has a BS in BS!:)

I do, and it p1sses me off they're leveling it, but not everyone shares my regard for the sanctity of historic sites.

I still liked the idea that V Youritzin had - place an enormous sculpture up there of a teed up football!

We have never won a National Title in football since they tore down King Kong's grave.

I once found a .50 bullet over there. I'm going to miss the random bed sheet messages. :(

I am very sad to learn it (though I never EVER heard it called KK's GS before). Even during my latest exile up I was happy to see that old familiar landmark and to show my daughters the concrete trench and regale them with its history. And by "regale" I mean "bore."

And beer cans. Lord knows us hillbillies need beer to shoot things. ;)

While this thread certainly deserves 5 stars for informative content, it also deserves a giant mad face.

Just think of all the dead Nazi's whose last thought as their evil blood drained from their genocidal bodies, "I wonder where that American learned to shoot so well?"

Answer: The Super Target parking lot in Norman, Oklahoma.
