Since we're talkin movies...

I'm giving my #1 vote to the 2 seconds in "Titanic" when the guy falls off the back of the ship and on the way down - hits the prop and the prop makes a "bong" sound and then the guy goes spinning in the air into the water.

Brilliant!

If you missed it go watch it.

Two for Clint Eastwood:

1. Josey Wales:
Clint: You a bounty hunter?
Bounty Hunter: A man's got to do something for a livin'
Clint: Well, dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy.

2. Unforgiven: Pretty much the entire last 30 minutes of the movie.

Well, he should have armed himself, if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend

I also thought Chevy Chase played it very cool when he jumped into the cold pool with Christy Brinkley in Vacation.

The Big Lebowski- where Smokey(?) tells Walter to, "Mark it down, dude" and John Goodman goes ape**** telling him he stepped over the line.

Goodfellas- "How am I funny! What the **** is so funny about me? Am I a clown? Am I here to amuse you!?" That whole sequence of dialogue was brilliant.

1) "Yippie ki yay, mutha****a"
2) "Why, Johnny Ringo, you look like a ghost...just walked over your grave."
3) The beginning of the shooting scene in Heat where Michael Madsen's character glimpses the cops and instantly starts shooting.

And Pieces, while that 2 seconds of Titanic IS cool, it's surrounded by 2+ hours of total ****e which totally negates that 2 seconds.

The only part of Titanic that I liked was when that whiney bastard finally slipped into hypothermia. Okay, and the drawing scene.

I remember the first time I saw The Matrix, with Trinity's stop-action-rotate-in-midair scene. It's sooooooo overdone now, but that was the scene where they invented it.

How about Steve McQueen jumping the fence. Or James Brown dropping grenade after grenade as he sprints on a rooftop?

Not true, it was invented before that by a guy I worked with in NY.

Spek to PT on the Keyser Soze moment...

Hoosiers when Gene Hackman has them circled up and he just says, "I lover you guys". - Duvall had it right, he is one of the greatest actors of our time.

Pulp Fiction: John Travolta revives Uma with a hypodermic to the heart.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lance: You're going to give her an injection of adrenaline directly to her heart. But she's got, uh, breastplates...
[taps Mia's chest]
Lance: You've got to pierce through that. So what you have to do is, you have to bring the needle down in a stabbing motion.
[demonstrates]
Vincent: I-I gotta stab her three times?
Lance: No, you don't gotta ******* stab her three times! You gotta stab her once, but it's gotta be hard enough to break through her breastplate into her heart, and then once you do that, you press down on the plunger.
Vincent: What happens after that?
Lance: I'm kinda curious about that myself.

When she sits up with a needle sticking out of her chest, Rosanna Arquette's character says:

Jody: That was ******* trippy.

In The Dirty Dozen, when the trainees are at another camp for an exercise, and the nosy colonel sends his goons to figure out who they are, Donald Sutherland's character gets asked his name and rank. He answers, "Number 2!"

It's remarkably similar to the miracle on ice movie, where the players do sprints for hours after a lackluster exhibition warmup game, until one of the players finally changes his answer to the question "Who do you play for?" from "Brown University" to "The United States."
