6 hours in the emergency room to remove some debris from my cornea.

They didn't prescribe a patch, but I wanted one anyway.

Anybody else ever had to wear a patch over their eye before?

I'm having little miniature hallucinations with the covered eye.

no, but I did get a scratch on my cornea when I was 8. it wasn't fun.

Pain aside.

I'm seeing a kaleidoscope of images in my covered eye. This is very weird for a person who has never done drugs.

I'm having little miniature hallucinations with the covered eye.

Just be careful driving. You have zero depth perception with that eye out of commission.

SAS, is the patch putting pressure on your eye? It could be the cause of the hallucinations.

splinter embedded right on the edge of my iris. They used something he called a burr(sp?) to remove it. Kind of like a tiny grinder that left an abrasion on my cornea that will have to heal.

no, it's a medical patch that is concave outward to avoid that.

I got hydrocodone/apap 5/500 tab mck for the pain. It better do good cuz the list of possible side effects is long.

Had to bail on the thread last night. Got a little sympathy attention from the spouse before one of those side effects kicked in. :D
