I've noticed this for a while, but I couldn't believe when I got my latest Crutchfield catalog that they still have his picture on the TVs. I can't find the pic online, but I'm pretty sure it's him. #80 Sooners. That picture has to be from the early '80s. Anybody?

I thought he was #86, wasn't Troy Johnson #80?

Oops, I was thinking of Steven Bryan #86

that has to be the longest running simulated TV screen ever used.

If that's Rick Bryan, I think that is from the infamous Jeff Hostetler game in '82.

I was at that game. My dad won't let me live it down, because I had to take a leak when we were up by 2 TDs. By the time we fought our way through the crowd back to our seats, we were losing. Jeff Hostetler...

Somebody got their shoes knocked off in that game. Great memories with my pop, even though we lost.

He was a great DLineman. He was a 2 time All-American. I think was an AA at DE then DT. Troy Johnson wore 80 also but Rick Bryan was before Johnson. Rick would go on to play for 15 years in the NFL.

Rick Bryan was about the only thing we had going for us in the early '80s (please Lord let me forget Marcus Dupree).

That image is used up in these parts as well for advertising TV's. Allthough the logo on the helmet and 'Sooners' on the jersey has been removed. I always wondered if that was indeed an image from a Sooner game.

Confirmed, my Canadian Sooner friend.

The picture is from the '81 OU-Wyoming game. The sticker above the facemask is the Oklahoma 75th Anniversary sticker.

Jeff Hostetler...Yeah, I was at that game, too. We were pretty cocky, and Barry started with lots of substitutions, when we went up by 2 or 3 TD's. It was still in the first half, if I remember correctly. WVU came out smokin' in the second half, and Hostetler put on a passing clinic. It was ugly.
