View Full Version : Big fire in FW, South of 820 on 35W

Our office smells like smoke and apparently the fire has jumped I-35 Not exactly how far south of 820 it is but stay off of 35W if at all possible going home.

Fort Worth: Interstate 35W has been shut down between Long Avenue and Loop 820 due to a large grass fire burning on both sides of the highway.

Yep I work on Long Ave.

otay, southbound 35W is moving pretty fast, northbound 35W is moving at about 15-20 mph.

was outside coaching my soccer girls. looked like a pretty good sized fire from over on bryant-irvin and 20.

on a side note, my winter coaching duties haven't been too wintery.

When is Winterfest in Garland? It is always freezing for that tournament.
