I'll start... 1. Beat the crap out of TBA on 2 September (any ideas who TBA might be?)

Some saying Middle Tennessee? They'd probably give us more of a struggle than the real Uni of Tenne$$ee.

And my goal for right now is to solidify the offensive line and make them all very happy.

Don't look ahead to the next game, just think about the game at hand. Don't take a game as an easy win.

Just go for winning the Big IIX championship.

When the score is 70 - 3, then its time to take out the first string.

Install the Killer Instinct in all OU players. Let up once we hang half a hundred on the opponent.

Offense only. But always be blitzing.

What about:

Get up 7-0 with 13:42 left in the first quarter. Play ball control and try to run out the clock on O. D? Play prevent.

When the game clock reads 0:00 in the 4th, have more points than our opponent.
I'm thinking if we do this, we will have a good year:rolleyes:

Hey, it won us 8 games this past season. And it has done miracles for Bobby Bowden the past 5 years!

Offensively: Score more points than the other guys.
Defensively: Keep the other guys from scoring points.

It's like the great Antonio Banderas said before becoming Zorro: "Pointy end goes in the other man."

What goes in the other man?

Good afternoon, former OU football coach Gary Gibbs. How are you today?

The weaknesses next year are the same as this year. We'll just be younger at those positions.

I'll bet we don't fumble near as much.

And you know this how since we havent played a game yet in 2006?

I bet if we limit Turnovers, those weaknesses will not show a whole helluva lot.

But hey, call me crazy.

This is based off what I saw last year from some of the same guys that will start this next year. Now if Marcus Walker is healthy that will be a huge boost to the defensive backs. But when has he been healthy?

I think our goals should be to play our best on every single down. We should never think a game is in the bag. Twice, we jumped to early 21-0 leads only to have to hang on for the win.

Can we please ban this jackass? I'm all for reality, and I don't want to hear the sunshine pumpers all the time, but this is getting rediculous. He is picking a fight in 90 out of 100 of his last posts.

I know, ignore him, but then what does that accomplish. This is the guy ****ing in the punchbowl at your junior prom, and you say "don't drink the punch", but I still have to see him do it.

Not lose.
Not be scored upon.
Not give up a first down.
Score a touchdown on every possession.
Do not miss any PATs.

Same as every football team at every level every year.

Nick, you are cracked, 06 is a potential MNC season for OU...

NickZeppelin

07 may be that. But with the same weaknesses this year we won only 8 games. I think 7 or 8 games would be about right for next year too. Especially with a much tougher schedule.

keep a lead and add to it, not just hang on for a win.

Except our schedule is much easier next year?

UAB, Washington, Oregon, TBA <<<< UCLA, TCU, Tulsa
2005 Texas << 2006 Texas

The rest of the schedule is about the same.

And some of our problems last year that you're worried about are QB and WR. Those have been taken care of. Don't see where you're going with this.

Unless I'm missing out on some inside joke :(

Applying logic to a NickZepplin post will only get you blood running out of your ears. They don't know what causes aneurisms but I'm pretty sure this can't help.
