where do you think the Sooners will be ranked in the preseason polls next year. I would think pretty high considering all the starters they have returning.

but of course they never get respect (22 in the ap) come on they played the toughest schedule in the country

Does it matter?? Preseason polls are like dry-humping, POINTLESS!

Ya tell Auburn that

What does that mean? Auburn started no. 3, and the two teams ahead of them went undefeated, the only gripe they had was that we bombed in the title game, thats why we need a playoff, the rankings dont mean anything. Look at us and Michigan this year

Yeah, I never did get the argument about Auburn and the preseason polls, if they had started the polls at mid-season Auburn still would have been #3 in their minds, that was just the way it was going to be.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see them around 10. Although we all know we'll be able to beat many of the top 10 teams.

I was disappointed with the final ranking(22) but I think it was mostly due to the fact that we were preseason top 10 and played so badly early on, voters were leary to rank us and many feel that Oregon was overrated! I definately expect us to be a top 10 team next year, and play like it all year

Sagarin - the mathematical genius, just this week, had the Sooners ranked at No. 9 at seaons end 2005. Next to Texas we were ranked the highest in the Big 12, with Texas Tech and UCLA behind us. The Big 12 had 6 out of the top 30 ranked.

He had the Sooners with No. 1 toughest schdule in 2005, Ohio State at No. 2, and Michigan State N0. 3.

To answer your question I would say OU will be ranked in the top 7 or 8 at the beginning of the season.

Even tho Texas and USC lose some great player they will probably rank higher than OU, with Ohio State, West Virginia, LSU plus 2 higher than OU.

It doesnt matter where you start, it matters where you finish.

19 should be the ideal spot (alas 2000)

anyway, most like 11-15.
