We had a couple of patients come in for a bone marrow biopsy - while they were in the middle of a sex change. Interesting, since they had hip implants and that made it more difficult to find a spot for the biopsy needle.
I found it very uncomfortable.

The British spell quite a few of the medical areas differently. Orthopedics vs Orthopeadics.
The patients I saw were 11 years ago and I have no idea about all of the issues/changes they go through. It is such a specialty on its own - couldn't do it.
