at least every other day I see some thread I've never seen before that already has 5 pages.

It's very conflicting. Do I read the entire thread so I don't repeat something? Do I check it out and find out it's an 'exclusive' thread that I don't belong in? Do I attempt the 25th hijacking of the thread? Is the thead so long that I shouldn't even look at it? Does it grow 2 more pages while I refuse to look at it? Is the last post from stanley or chick?

Should we shred posts when we finish?

Some boards have an auto-lock feature, where if a thread's most recent post is, say, over a month ago, it gets locked and can never be resurrected.

Looking back, I seem to be making 4-5 posts on the football board per month. Haven't been gone as much as I thought.
