When I was in the K-12 program at Diller NE, I always liked to put the government "cheese" in between my saltines during school lunch. I really haven't ate saltines except for soup since then.

I'm not a big saltine eater. I'd rather have the stone-ground wheat crackers. Much tastier.

Mix a tiny bit of mustard in some grape jam or jelly, put that on any type of cracker. including saltines. Top it with a small round off of a grilled or broiled Kielbasa sausage and a small slice of your favorite cheese. I serve a spicey pepper cheese for the daring grownups and cheddar for the kiddos and the not so daring.

I was sitting at Goldies at lunch one day with some guys from work, when a guy introduced me to "Cowboy Caviar". It is simply a saltine with a pickle on top, covered with Mayo. I winced at the thought and the looks of it but it after giving in to peer pressure, it wasnt that bad after all...

The cheddar ones are good too. The vegetable whatever.....not so much. WAY too much seasoning on them.

Carry on.

Not just any sausamages. But sausamages made from chicken, beef AND pork.

You know you're a redneck if you know how many of those little jewels of modern meatpacking technology come in a can.

Has anybody mentioned the Sharp Cheddar or Port Wine spread cheese? That stuff is the shizznits on saltines or Wheat Thins.
