I totally agree.

If I were at Sonic I would order tots.

Most other times, fries.

I know an individual that won't even say "Tator tots".

It seems he thinks that's what they eat on "Brokeback Mountain". :D

Tots are for children.

Prefer onion rings - just won't pay $1.50 for the 5-8 they normally give you (I'm a cheap bastid).

seasoned, chili-cheese, waffle cut, curly, frozen, freshcut, gravy.........

fries win based on versatility, but you are totally correct that it depends on where you go.

onion rings still win

Not true.....plenty of things she likes that I don't.

If she does indeed like turds, that would be one of them. ;)

Good point. Some fries are awesome, others not so much. I voted for tots because they are more consistent.

1. Seasoned curly fries
2. Seasoned fries
3. Waffle fries
4. Regular fries
5. Tots
...
100. Unseasoned curly fries

Anyone in Wichita eaten at Freddy's Frozen Custard? Their fries go at 1A. They'd be a clear #1 if they'd put some seasoned salt on 'em.

As a kid? I only went there when it was a bar?!

oh no...nevermind..that was the T-Bar. All the same place I think, just part of it was for 21 and over the other part was the eatery.

I can't believe nobody has mention Wing Stop's fries. Those are the best. Followed by Arby's curly fries.

And I'm really dissapointed that onion rings weren't an option.

Split T was the burger part. The T Bar was the bar part. You probably remember the food more than you think because the founder of Johnnie's, Johnnie Haynes worked there for 18 yrs before striking out on his own.

Split T was the original place you could get a Theta or a Caesar burger.

But at night it was livelier as a bar. In 1989, however, the location became famous for the "T-Bar 12" where a group of House leaders met to plan the ouster of House Speaker Jim Barker.

I like Sonic's tater tots myself. I also like their onion rings.
But for the most part, I get french fries when I go somewhere else.
One underrated fry is the steak fries at the Lone Star Steakhouse (don't know if it's in the OKC or Tulsa area but it's in my town). Pretty massive, a tad crispy and awesome. Which is how I like my fries.

as a general rule, french fries in Colorado stink. there are some good one's but the majority of the time places couldn't stay in bizness in OK serving the weak stuff you get here. like fries are an afterthought, a mild obligation an establishment accrues by serving a burger. by the same token, it's not a given you get chips and salsa at the mexican place either, unless you order them.

weirdos.

Current results:

19-18 Tots. With Onion Rings as the write in leader.

Boy, that sure clears things up.

The Sonic serves a couple of Split-T items, such as a Sonic Theta, what else I'm drawing a blank. Banana Split Milkshake.... I'll do a drive by today or tomorrow.
