Its important. The fate of the free world could hang in the balance.

Beanless preferred (I'm a purist) but beanie chili recipes are still welcome.

Here's a buddy of mine's recipe. He won the world chili cook-off with it.

LARRY ARNETT CHILI

• 3 Cups White Onion
• 1 Tablespoon Garlic
• 2 Jalapeno Peppers (chopped/seeded)
• ½ Cup Canola Oil
• 3 Pounds Meat
• ¼ Cup Chili Powder
• 1 Tablespoon Cumin
• 1 ½ Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
• 2 Tablespoons Paprika
• 1 Tablespoon Dried Oregano
• 1 Bay Leaf
• 1 Tablespoon Dried Red Pepper
• 1 14 Ounce Can Chicken Broth
• 3 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
• 3 Medium Bell Peppers
• 2-8 Ounces Cans Tomato Sauce

Slowly sauté garlic and onions in oil over very low heat. Add meat and jalapeno peppers, sear until steel gray. Add chili powder, cumin, cocoa, paprika, oregano, red pepper and bay leaf. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring frequently. Add bell peppers and cook until peppers are tender. Add water and beer as needed.

Drink beer regularly during cooking process.

Serve with cheese, Fritos, crackers, hot sauce. And Beer.
