View Full Version : Anybody catch the USuC Band and halftime performance?

While I liked the block band and the dance thing was a trip down memory lane for this old block band Pride member. However, the crotch grabbing :stunned: during "Beat It!" was a WTF moment!!

Any comments? I didn't see a post regarding this, but could have missed it.

I also noticed some air-humping going on during a different part. I've always thought of them as a low class band. Their band director almost got arrested in Miami last year. We were playing a gig, and weren't quite done yet. The SUC band director was ready to go on stage, and he wanted to go on NOW, by God, and wasn't about to take no as an answer. Well, needless to say, the UNIFORMED police officer didn't appreciate this guy getting all up in his face about it and damn near took him to jail. You could kinda tell from seeing him on TV the other night that he's not all there. For all of you Brian Britt haters, it could be much worse.

Yeah I saw it. I think dancing, or whatever you want to call it, for a marching band is a bit bizarre, but whatever. I wasn't outraged by it. It's their shtick I guess.

They kept yellin blow don't suck.
She took in 5 pair sunglasses and 2 hats.

Yep, I was right, I just asked the ultimate trifecta of Chuck Norris, Vin Diesel and Mr. T, and Brian Britt is as bad as it gets. :D

Yep, noticed the air humping as well. I don't think I am a prude, but I thought that and the crotch grab was pornographic (pronographic? ;) ). When we danced in block, the fans seemed to like it, but being a tuba tapper, I never really danced and all.

I did like the Slow Band of the Southwest, their tuba's wore a cover/hat, hear that Pride Tubas, some sort of cover or hat looks a lot better than everybodys head and hair!

im going to be a big band nerd right now...but i did not like their sound quality...i know it was on tv and stuff...but still...i thought they could of sounded better

1. The crotch-grab is understandable. They were doing exactly (as close as a bunch of whiteys can manage) Michael Jackson's dance from the Beat It video, since that's what they were playing. They even copied the choreographed knife-fight. Don't like the crotch-grab? Blame Jacko for that one.

2. USC's band sounded like ***.

maybe the crotch grab was acceptable, but dangling a baby over a ledge was pushing it IMO.

I'm sorry, you would never see Coach telling his band to grab crotch. Remember all his admonitions? The camera sees all!

I saw it and both bands sucked.
