I've looked around the interweb at a couple of newspapers, but haven't really read anything one way or another. Did I miss something?

His first name is Darrell?

The only thing I've heard is that he's still "considering" the SDSU job. If he leaves, it will be just another reason to dislike Long. Like stealing one of our coordinators will help you win there!

Stoops was on The Animal this morning and they asked him if Darrell was staying or still considering SDSU. Bob said he expects Darrell to stay, but he is still considering the job.

So, he's undecided?

Yes - but you know Bob, he didn't want to talk about it much.

Darrell should stay here and wait for something better than SDSU, like maybe the OC job at OU if Wilson leaves in the next few years......

Wyatt is really young, isn't he? Think he's ready for an OC job at a big place like OU?

No, not for about another 4 or 5 years...I figure Wilson will probably be going back to the big 10 by then for a HC job and by then Wyatt could be ready...

My point (that I stole from jkm) is that we're OU, and we shouldn't be getting anyone to be a coordinator for the first time. If we HAVE to have Wyatt as OC, I'd want him to get some experience at a place like Bowling Green or something first.

What does Deano say the chances are?

I agree totally.....I just think that if Stoops has even the slightest inclination about Waytt, he'll probably promote him....Stoops is one of those loyal kind of coaches.....Wyatt would probably be better served by going to another program, I just feel he can do better than SDSU...plus, he's a good WR recruiter for us...

Shawn Watson, Colorado's OC under Barnett, is being considered for the SDSU job also.

Watson is also in the running for a position coach job at Nebraska....being a WCO acolyte like His Majesty Bill Callahan.

i've seen a lot of CU football the last 5-6 years and I've never been real impressed with Watson.

But you told Chuck that Watson was awesome, right?

FWIW: and this a lot more tame some of the other stuff that went on during the last half of the season. they aren't threatening his kids or wishing him to die under a bridge in Denver huffing paint thinner.
