YES!!! Can't get enough good OL men. He's a Jenks kid too. Which usually means they are successful and hard working. Great commit. Thanks!

I think the Tulsa World said we only have two scholly's left? That's if everyone signs of course, but what happens if Gresham, McCoy, and Murray all decide to commit to us?

Plus, I guess a couple could blackshirt (I think that is what it is called) and not actually enroll until spring of 2007, and fall under the following year's recruiting class.

The lure of playing close to home, the opportunity of playing early and the chance to pursue both football championships and a political career have steered Chase Beeler to Norman.

Beeler, a Tulsa World All-State offensive lineman from Jenks, committed Saturday night to play college football at the University of Oklahoma, his father, Darrell Beeler told the Tulsa World.

Chase Beeler's commitment gives Oklahoma 23 in the 2006 recruiting class, according to recruiting services Rivals.com and Scout.com (the limit is 25). Beeler chose OU over Oklahoma State, Northwestern and Stanford. He originally set a decision date of mid-December, but making the choice took longer than he thought.

Beeler's commitment is non-binding. Signing day is Feb. 1. .
