Just thought I'd wage some lowbrow smack before we bring another big 12 incest party to its knees. 52-3 that sounds about right if we pull our starters at the half. Any of you rednecks gonna be in San Diego for the slaughter? If so be advised that they don't have many shindigs and hoedowns to frequent in Californ-i-aa. Not that you and the wife/cousin will feel like celebrating much after the new hole we rip in your assses.
That is all.
I'll go back to hugging my tree and drinking my bong water now.

You know, I think I remember something about a Big 12 team last year going 7-4 last year playing a 10-1 Pac-10 team in the Holiday Bowl last year.

Does anyone remember what happened with that?

Football is a glorified tradition of the south, not the northwest. You people would try and run your mouths in a year where you're set up to win... serves fans like you right when you eat your words.
Stereotyping OU as cousin-lovers? weak attempt, poor effort.
Admitting to humping a tree... please don't try to insult us if your gonna look that stupid doing it.

He just read up a whorn site and thought he would talk high and mighty before facing off with OU.

Our bitches just beat USC, so can we say Orange Bowl fluke??? If you think Vince Young is just sooo incredible, I'll remind you that we beat this same Texass team 65-13 and later 12-0... OU fell into a slump at the Orange Bowl, and the youth and inexperience this year kept us in it for a while... I think after December 29th, you can see we're out of it now...

the pac-10 bent over like a giggling faggot this year and took two mammoth sized ***-rapings with a smile on their west-coast faces...

oregon was your typical soft pac-10 team, which didn't deserve to even be in the holiday bowl, let alone the BCS. USC, the "team of the century" -- bent over and showed they couldn't hang with the big 12's best...

nothing surprising here...

Smack rule one: Don't run, or tell another poster not to run, trailer smack if you can't spell trailer.

Personally, as an Oregon native for about 40 years, I agree that parts of southern Oregon are pretty backwoods. I won't go hiking alone on the Chetco River, I'll tell you that.

Of course, backwoods or not, Oregon is paradise compared with the hell hole that is Oklahoma.

Our mountains are maybe millions of years older than Oregon and thus smaller. Hell, Colorado and California make Oregon look like Nebraska. My point is that there are morons in places like Oregon that have no Idea that there are Mountains, rivers, lakes and great wild life in Oklahoma. As a matter of FACT, there is more fresh water shoreline in Oklahoma than any other state. We also have some very nice urban areas. Oregon has portland, we have OKC and Tulsa.

Well, that's entirely too generalized. Much of east Portland is beautiful, it's not all SE 72nd and Flavel ... that's ridiculous.

I don't know any Oklahoma City suburbs, but I assume there are poor neighborhoods and wealthy ones. As you live in NE Portland, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate the lumping of the intersection of MLK and Prescott with something like 50th and Alameda, or 137th and Fremont.

And if Oregon is so backwoods and unsophisticated, why was it admitted to the Union 48 years before Oklahoma?

In any case, it's just smack. Look at it this way:

Of course Oklahoma is beautiful, but it doesn't compare to Oregon. And of course the Oregon Ducks play some good football, but they don't compare to Oklahoma.

Actually no. I lived on Council Crest for most of my years in P-town. Clearly, you don't know the area well.

Oklahoma has one of the most varied landscapes in the Union. That is fact. I think that our variety is prettier than Oregon's mountains. Mountains aren't the only thing that's worth looking at on this Earth.

I'm not sure I'd make a statement like that, and then accuse someone else of not knowing geography.

Ever heard of the Pacific Ocean? Where is Oklahoma's coast line?

Oregon is the 10th largest state in the Union, and has vastly more variety than Oklahoma ... it's not even close. That's not to say that Oklahoma isn't beautiful, just that your knowledge of US geography is excruciatingly poor.

here's what i say about paybacks -- they're even worse when you're expecting to give one, and then get beat even worse than before.

you'll experience that in eugene next year.

Once again, someone from Oregon is citing one specific thing (mountains or the ocean) to make the point that it's more beautiful than Oklahoma. Just because Oregon is bigger than Oklahoma, that doesn't mean it has more variety, and I can guarantee you it doesn't. Pick up a geography book before you say my knowledge is "excruciatingly poor."

First of all "mountains or the ocean" is two things.

Second, other than the silly smack "hell hole" remark, I didn't say Oregon was "more beautiful." I said that it is definitely more varied. Oregon has coastline, and it has elevations approaching 12,000 feet, far above timberline. It has estuaries and it has glaciers. It has limestone caves and lava tubes. It has desert mesas and rainforest. It has huge sanddunes and 600-foot waterfalls. It has two of the deepest gorges on the continent, and dry alkaline lake beds.

Yes, Oklahoma is a vacation hot spot and a scenic and cultural wonder, but there is simply no way that it possesses the varied topography of Oregon, or the Pacific coast in general.

Not to tell you your Okie geography, but I believe it's 11. Oregon has 9, but again, the variances are far greater in Oregon.

You obviously need a little history refresher.
Oklahoma was never supposed to be a state. It was promised to the Indians. When the indians sided with the south the gov negged on the deal.

Texoma is pretty cool. But its not as much about the view as it is about bass fishing and checking out the hot Texas girls that frequent the islands.

I find it interesting that the "pillar of natural beauty" that is oregon has attracted less residents in a longer period of time than the "vast wasteland" that is oklahoma.

Neither one is exactly overpopulated but you would tend to think that people would prefer to live in "paradise" as opposed to Texas-north.

It's called a "temperate rainforest," but you'd probably have to watch something more in depth than Animal Planet to have heard of such a thing.

As far as populating paradise goes, people need to work. I won't argue that Oklahoma has traditionally had a stronger oil-based economy, and the decimation of Oregon's forests has been tough to overcome.

If you're going to appeal to something historical, know your history. Oklahoma wasn't opened up for settlement by "Americans" until 1889. Oregon was opened up for settlement when, 1805ish?

And uh, yeah. I wouldn't be so quick to link "sophistication" to admittance to the Union. Have you ever BEEN in the Applacian mountains? Plenty of states in them that were admitted way earlier than Oregon, and are as backwoods and hillbilly as you can get.

How about this: amount of time it took a territory to establish a university. Oklahoma was what, 9 years? How about Oregon? Willamette University, 1842. So that's what, 37 years?

(see how easy it is to pick random qualifications for "sophistication?" :) )

Actually, Oregon didn't become a US Territory until 1848, six years after the first university was established there.

OU was established in 1892, Oklahoma was made a state in (help me out, people from Oklahoma who didn't just attend school here) 1908.

Wow, 16 years before statehood!

I've been to Oregon, it was very nice, but very cool... IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY! What's up with that? Don't you guys ever have a summer?

Ah well. We'll be back this fall. We'll just have to bring some warm weather with us... along with a much better football team. Hehe

Actually OU was established in 1890...same as Oklahoma A&M IIRC...and Oklahoma became a state in late 1907.
