How long have you been able to log in with your gmail account and customize google's start page? I kinda dig that, especially since you can add a gmail pane on there. I also like the way you can drag the panes around on the screen. Ajax in action.

Anyway, I highly recommend logging into google and clicking on "Personalized Home". If anything, I've already checked my gmail account 100 more times in the past 2 days than like ever.

hmm... if i didn't have so much official mail going to my Yahoo! account... i might just stop going there now

Exactly. I probably do a google search about 4000 times a day, so it's handy to be able to check my mail and do a search at the same time. it's about impossible for me to remember to check my webmail otherwise.

Question: Does anyone know if you get something cool after refering 100 people to Gmail. Or are the powers that be just getting me all worked up with numbers?

Damn. And I thought I was Google crazy. I only do 3,289 searches a day.

Is there any way to have a webcomic on your personalized google page?

The best part about gmail is that you don't have to be constantly typing in your password. Yahoo should really take note.

Google just blew my mind:

http://www.google.com/apis/homepage/

In about 30 seconds, I created a widget to show today's dilbert comic strip. OK, so it doesn't work well with the 3 column layout, but it's freakin' cool that you can do it. It would be EASY to add a widget to google that has all of the links you click on the most. Then they are right there on the page you go to the most.

I've never wanted to have a website's baby this badly before.

You guys really suck.

Ok, here is my simple test for putting a "My Links" section on google's personalized page:

<Module>
<ModulePrefs title="My Links" />

Soonerfans.com
HDTVOK

</Module>

Dear Norm, there's already an easy way to add your links. It's the default Bookmarks module that you can add in after clicking the add content thread.

Norm In Norman

See, you don't understand, I MADE my own module, just to see if I could do it. And I can, therefore I am highly superior to everyone that hasn't.

OCUDad

tabs?Refresh your Google home page and you should see a tab at the top left called "Home" with another tab next to it titled "Add a New Tab." Similar to Yahoo!'s "add a page" functionality.

So why do the tabs disappear after click on one?

And I can't seem to delete a tab . . . or rename it after it's created.
