I want it to be at the Civic Center again, but hey.

Yeah, I'm STILL kicking myself for missing that one. I'm guessing they'll never play the CC again. In the future it'll probably either be Ford Center shows or the Diamond Ballroom.

....possibly..... I know their music sucks for a fact though. My (now) ex kept bugging me to burn her the new x&y coldplay cd so i kindly obliged and downloaded all the tracks and inserted small 5-10 sec. long clips of females um...making...uh....those kinds of noises in between. The look on her face later was priceless. :D
P.S. If you highlight viking kittens spek bar it says "viking kitten is an awesomely stud man" . lol... :D

I finally figured out that what I thought were some bad U2 songs were actually Coldplay, and I didn't like U2 to begin with. Therefore I am protesting this thread by going to the Dwight Yoakum show in Tulsa November 23. :texan:

Weak. Have fun, ladies and...ladies.
I'm waiting for these two artists to come through here: The Mars Volta and The New Pornographers (with Neko, although Kathryn Calder isn't too shabby). I don't think either will happen, though. :(

They used to tour with RHCP, since John and Flea have contributed to both of their albums. That would have been weird to see them with Snoop, though.

June 2, 2003: The Mars Volta has pulled out of its spot supporting The Red Hot Chili Peppers on the alt-funk band's tour.
Because of the death of the band's off-stage sound manipulator Jeremy Ward, the band has pulled out of its spot supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their current American tour.
While a replacement for Ward has not been named, nor has the band even indicated he will be replaced, The Mars Volta will play a headlining tour in the United States in July.

You probably also remember them when they were tearing up the underground music scene in At The Drive-In, too.

Anybody who judges Coldplay by X&Y is cheating themselves. IMO, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head were much better disks. X&Y kinda just felt like they were going through the motions. But I'm still pumped.

I thought the exact same thing.
If there are furries at the concert, I'm totally gonna kick some coldplay arse.
Unless the lips show up and play Yoshimi. Then it would be all cool.
Tho I'm definitely IN for the show...Fiona Apple is opening.
Great concert. Fiona Apple was okay, not really the right type of music to open up for Coldplay. Plus we had to sit for an hour inbetween acts while they changes out stages.
Awesome music, cool visuals, i'd do it again.
