So was Troy Aikmen, even though he didn't last long here. He went down with that broken leg so Jamelle Holloway took over and the rest as they say, is history.

Derek Shephard and Brian Bozworth were from that same era - great, great players.

Jermayne Frazande was kindof an obscure 90's era player but boy, that guy could play.

And remember Mike Gattis? Dude had awesome ability but his poor knees..

Don't forget about Josh Hypel, he was a gamer.

And Nate Hibell was tough as nails.

Bud Wilkerson also had a bunch of good players on his teams.

I tell you what, guys. In all seriousness, Larry Burdine's return will help our D-Line tremendously because Dusty Dvoracheck is gone after this year.

True. So Granger is redshirting. Is there any news on how he's doing on the scout team?

I really miss Kelly Gragg and Seth Latrell. Both were gamers. Brent Smith was a good tight end. We need another one like him.

Right now one of my favorite players is Keywon Jones.

I'm really glad Josh Hypl is back as quarterback coach. It will be interesting to see what he does with Joey Hallse and Sam Bickford after this year.

I love Juaquin Gonzalez!

Almost as much as I love Andre Peterson! (Hopefully someone caught Lee Corso saying that before the UAB game.)

They both pale in comparison to Patrick Thompson and Malcom Kellogg, though. These are some of the best players Brad Stoops has ever coached here at Okinawa.

No one has mentioned a player who is cool not just for his skill, but for his awesome name:

Elvis Peanut

Oh and Busta Brown--that's a cool Sooner name too.
