Season off to an interesting start....Fakers needed OT to get past the Nuggets by 2...they shouldn't make the playoffs this year unless the West has collapsed that much.

Interesting to hear the 'experts' talk about how the West is the weaker conference now.

I'll go out on a limb here.

Spurs and Pistons are the teams to beat.

Watched them play the Cavs the other night on the TV. Spurs made them look silly. When San Antone gets in that offensive zone where they are passing the ball like 5-6 times per possession or driving then kicking out for an open 3, etc., it is a thing of beauty to behold. They are unselfish with the ball, the play D, and they rebound.

Pistons in the East. Saw Detroit against the 6'ers on the tube as well. Pistons look good so far with their new head coach. I can actually like Detroit now due the departure of Larry Brown (still reeling over '88). They are unselfish with the ball, they play D, and they rebound.

I refuse to dignify that comment with any sort of response.

Just finished watching Portland take the Pistons down to the wire.

Portland impresses me. They're young, well-coached, unselfish with the ball, rebound and play D pretty well. I see some good things in the future for the Trail Blazer organization.

I wonder if anyone here cares.

Take this then.

Definitely nice to see the Pistons not get off to the slow start of last year, and it's really nice to not have the distractions of last season. What I really like is how we're pretty much shutting teams down in the last 18 minutes of games.

mavs had a great come from behind win against the nuggets last night.

way to see the team fight back and take a lead

And they won it in the late stages with defense to boot.

I got some free tickets to the Suns-Grizzlies game the other night. Just so y'all know, the Suns are really not a good team this year. The Grizzlies however are an interesting team. They have like 5 or 6 guys that are capable of going off for 30+ points in a game.

When do the Mavs flat out cut Damp?

Erick came to play in the first 12 minutes.

And it's no coincidence the Mavs are up by 26.

Who is this guy in Dampier's uniform, and can Dampier be put back into it?

I know it's early...

But the Mavericks in the span of 15 days have beaten both participants in last June's NBA Finals by a combined 56 points.

Granted, both games were home games.

But still...

eh I don't know what to make of the game.....Pistons looked like a team playing a 2nd game in less than 24 hours at the end of a long western road trip. Dallas played a nearly perfect first quarter.....and clearly some android replaced Dampier tonight and the real Dampier is probably drugged and tied in his closet so that Dallas fans weren't subject to another top notch 5pt 4 rebound night from him ;)

Basically the Pistons never recovered from that first quarter.

Any bets on what Kenny and Charles will be harping on during tomorrow night's telecast of the Mavs-Kings game?
