Last night I was thinking that was the only gun they have (well, not now). I was saying "SHOOT THEM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!" If they are so all powerful, why haven't they found the guns before? They could have killed all of the others right there. But then the show would be over.

I think part of the numbers they put in on the computer has to do with a security system. That security system is used to watch Jack and them. Thats how they knew exactly how many guns the rescue party had, because they have cameras in the hatch.

At first I was somewhat disappointed in this episode, but after thinking about it a bit it may have revealed more than most other episodes. In fact, the entire front-story about Charlie may shadow the real information given in the seemingly throw-away scenes with Libby and Hurley.

Actually, it's completely in Locke's established character. He believes that the island has a purpose for him - for them all - and he will do anything if he feels it's pushing him towards discovering that purpose. I think he's showing Claire's baby a lot of attention because she had been kidnapped and he feels that baby's welfare is tied to theirs in an important way.

I have a feeling Locke and Jack are about to have a big falling-out.

I really liked the way the background story and island story interwove in this episode. They acted as foreshadowing for each other, and allowed you to really anticipate what was going to happen, or at least to understand what happened after the fact.

With his hood up in the dark, Charlie seemed a lot like a Sith Lord there at the end. I sort of expected his face to melt.
