i personally don't like ice cream. and any ice cream goes straight to my hips.

If you enjoy making ice cream, do yourself a favor and get one of these. No ice, no salt and it makes 2 quarts in about 25 minutes, total (Including mixing of ingredients).

Does that one require freezing the bowl first? I always have a full freezer and that isn't practical.

I want this one. Ugly and not cheap, but easy to use. Just ice cream mix and electricity. And easy to clean. I'm just not sure haow portable it is.
Our margarita/icee machine is NOT portable. :(

1.5 qt is $50, 2 qt is $80. Or, as Beano suggested, you can just register for one and hope someone buys it for you (we got 3)

I just got an old school hand crank ice cream maker off ebay. Just in time for July 4!

This way I can get me some sweet ice cream forearm muscles to go with my newly round ice cream belly.

I tried a new recipe last night for a 4 quart maker.
Half n Half to fill
2 tablespoons Messican Vanilla
1/2 cup(or to taste) malt
medium jar M. cherries

blend it, freezit, your welcome.

works great. I mostly just use their recipe for vanilla and then sometimes add either crushed oreos, strawberries, chocolate chips, etc at the end.

Recipe has whipping cream, milk, vanilla, sugar. dat's it.

SOOOO light and creamy.

well there was this recipe that was used for a Chief's initiation by my stepfather that included adding jalapenos and sardines to vanilla ice cream. But I'm sure you don't want that recipe.
