In no particular order:
Astros - It's not a retro baseball jersey thread without mentioning the "rainbow connection" of the late 1970s-1980s. But I also liked their late '90s unis when they closed out the Astrodome.
A's - Liked it when they wore the green tops in the Charlie O. days.
Braves - Loved the light blue road unis of the early 1980s. If I ever see a Dale Murphy throwback in that color, I'm buying it.
Pirates - Favorite road uniform of the "We Are Family" era was the black tops and gold pants.
Giants - The orange road tops from the early '80s.
Tigers - The road tops from the 80s-early '90s, when DETROIT was spelled out in capital letters.
Rangers - The 1974 unis, which they wore during a weekend home series last year with the A's.

I got the jersey that Jeff Nelson wore in the game that he got thrown out in. Great jersey...but not as good as the blue ones that the Rangers wore in Baltimore last year.

I'm sure glad the White Sox wear those retro 1920's jerseys now :)

I'd like to forget their uniforms of the 70s and 80s....really.

I've got a bunch of cards unopened. I don't think they are 87 though. I think 89, 90, 91 and 92 or so. Various brands. Don't know what I will do with them other than to save them for now.

So you're a fan of obnoxious color combinations and polyester eh?

Almost bought one of those when I was at the ballpark this weekend. A rich man could go broke trying to collect all of Gaylord's throwbacks. ;)

Personally, I wish they'd come out with a Rangers one for David Clyde or Whitey Herzog.

When Gaylord Perry pitched in old-timer's games, he would wear a custom-made jersey featuring the logos from all the teams he played for in his career.
I agree on a David Clyde jersey, even though he didn't have the career many thought he would have.
I disagree on Whitey Herzog, though, although you can blame that on Bumbling Bob Short. If he hadn't cut Herzog loose before he could finish up his one and only year in '73, the White Rat could've been a great manager in Rangers colors, instead of Royal and Cardinal duds. Yeah, the Rangers replaced him with Billy Martin and they had a great run in '74, but as we all know, Martin was definitely a short-term solution and not a long-term one, as Whitey might have been.

Arlington Stadium didn't see an atmosphere like that again until Nolan's farewell tour.

Herzog could've done great things with the Rangers if given the chance. He obviously showed the AL West what he was made of later with the Royals. If given the opportunity, he could've built a lightning quick ballclub in Arlington, much like he did in the 80s with St. Louis, and that would've been a wonderful sight to see. Teams would've hated to come to Texas even more in the late summer knowing they'd have to be on their toes for every pitch. It would've drained them.

Instead Clyde's career and any momentum the Rangers could've built up was derailed by Billy the Drunk.

By any chance, have you read the book "Seasons In Hell" by Mike Shropshire? If not, get it. Great read written by a guy who covered those early Ranger teams (specifically 1973-74) for one of the Dallas newspapers. He also had a book come out this past year about Bill Parcells' first season with the Cowboys.

I could take it with me to the BiA and read it in-between innings during one of the standard 210 minute marathons the Rangers always seem to find themselves in. :)

The book also details the hype and buildup surrounding Clyde's debut and also details Clyde getting "corrupted" by his older teammates.

The saddest thing about Clyde, without a doubt, is that he's less than a month away in terms of big league service from receiving a pension from MLB.

I remember hearing about that, they (I'm thinking it was FSN) did a big piece on Clyde two years ago on the 30th anniversary of his debut.
Wasn't there supposed to be a movie made about Clyde's debut and his rapid fall from grace? I know there was talk about it and that Jessica Simpson was going to play Clyde's fiancee (I think her and Clyde's marriage lasted like two years).
