Well, I was going to go book a trip to St Lucia, then I decided I wanted white sand, so I have finally decided on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos.

Anyone ever been? Sounds f'ing beautiful!!!

Looks nice. My mom's working on a trip down there somewhere and is looking into St Lucia. What all are you planning to do there?

I plan on spending either 6 or 7 days just hanging out on a beach, snorkeling, maybe doing some diving, drinking, eating and just relaxing my *** off the week before the TCU game.

St. Lucia looked really lush, but tripadvisor.com had lots of people say the beach was very rough.

The one thing that I like about Provo is that it looks very un-crowded and I don't think many cruise ships stop at this island.

Well, did you go? Looking for honeymoon places. Thinking about there or St. Lucia. Rough beach doesn't really bother me, as I won't be on it much.

BAH-ZING!!

I didn't think the beach in St Lucia was rough. Maybe it was that our resort took good care of it, who knows. For divind, it was awesome. Great visability and the temp of the water was perfect.

Yes I did, go to Turks I mean. I was there when Hurricane Katrina rolled thru last year, but we missed it. Its a great place, best I have ever been too. If you are looking for quiet relaxing place, this is it. No cruise ships or crazy touristy crap, just total relaxation. The beach is nearly empty all the time, so no crowds either.

Also, ton of famous people get married here I guess.

We are going again at the end of Sept, and staying here:

Well, I am back. Posting from my beach side condo overlooking beautiful Grace Bay beach in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, British West Indies.

Spent most of the day on the beach, came back, checked email and some websites, went to dinner, took a swim, and now watching football.

I'll post some pics shortly.

I can see why. Its damn nice. and easy to get to. AA flys here twice a day from Miami, and Delta once a day from Atlanta. Its about an hour and a half flight.

No cruiseships, very few people, and lots of high-end restaurants. You cannot get a meal here for less than $100.00 I don't think, but its damn good stuff.

Well, didn't do **** again today.

Woke up about 10ish, dragged the wife outta bed, threw our swimmin britches on and layed out at the beach for a cool 5 hours until my IPOD ran outta juice and I ran out of corona.

Just got back from dinner at a nice French place. A really amazing place in the middle of a palm tree grove. I had veal (on an island!) and it was great.

Now, just sitting here, watching some football and a storm rolling by with lighting hitting the water off in the distance.

Tommorrow, I am going snorkeling at a reef with lots of turtles.

Might do some fishing another time though, I really needed to do nothing this time, and I am getting my wish.

So what's the crowd like where you are? Crowded at the beach or is it a private beach for those condos? how many Condos are there in your little area?

We are really looking at going there for our honeymoon in April.

There is NO ONE here.

I sat on the beach for hours today, and probably saw about 3 people.

There are nice lowrise condos/resorts all along the coast of gracebay. Most are owned condos, so its not very busy.

The beach is huge, and there is no one around. The whitest sand in the caribbean, and no one to share it with!

Now, the club med area has a few more people, but not many.

If you want peace and quiet on an island with lots of nice places to stay and nice places to eat, this is the place.

Another would be Anguilla which is a 20 min boat ride from St. Marteen.

Man that sounds like exactly what we are looking for. I looked at the one you passed on and that is exactly what we are looking for (private pool rules), but you are right it's a little steep. If I can rent it for 6 days, it's only a few hundred more than we were gonna pay in St. Lucia.

I'm sure wherever you decide to beach yourself, the place will clear out pretty soon anyway.

It is steep. But keep looking, I am sure you will find the right place.

Check out parrot cay resort (http://www.lhw.com/property.aspx?propertyid=373&Ext=GprrtCy).

Ben Afflic and Jennifer Gardner got married there last year when I was here. And I hear its always teaming with celebs.

Its on its own cay so its very private.
