Celtic languages confuse me. I can't figure out the pronunciation rules. They use 17 letters to spell a one-syllable word.

The Irish gave the Scottish the kilt and they still haven't gotten the joke....;)

Irish toast...

Slainte go saol agat,
Bean ar do mhian agat.
Leanbh gach blian agat,
is solas na bhflaitheas tareis antsail seo agat.

Health for life to you,
A wife of your choice to you,
Land without rent to you,
A child every year to you,
And the light of heaven after this world for you."

Now drink....:D

I have a consultant I work with pretty regularly and he's out of Scotland. Flies here about twice a month and stays a week or so.

Boy, we have a lot of fun with him...

He calls me 'bonny lass'. I'm not sure what it means but it sounds purty.

I'm pretty sure it means "Juicy Booty".

I think in Scottish, bonny stands for juicy.

Also, Fugue stands for assbag over there.

He calls cookies 'biscuits'.

And where he's from 'fanny' is not booty - it's a girl's lady parts so 'fanny pack' really makes him laugh.
