From Rivals.com:

Given the surprising nature of National Signing Day, there are many memorable statements that are made by coaches and players.

The following is a look at some of the interesting quotes from this year:

A GIG 'EM WORLD
"Get that ugly stuff away from me." - Duncanville (Texas) safety Gremon Coffman (http://www.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=28545) after taking off his Oklahoma sweatshirt to reveal a Texas A&M one, tossing his Sooners hat into the crowd, throwing the OU letter-of-intent in the trash, throwing the Sooner beads around his neck into the wall, signing a letter-of-intent with the Aggies and proclaiming "It's a Gig 'em world."

Anybody know what 'gig 'em' means? Other than a cheap rip off of the 'hook 'em' thing that the longhorns do? Does it mean that they like to fish at night? That's about the only 'giggin' I've ever heard of...

Wonder if old Gremon has ever gone giggin'?

Wonder if he'll know it the first time he get's gigged against the OU team he just gratuitously insulted?

Im pretty sure gig'em involves spearing a frog with a stick.

I've heard that question before. Loosely translated, Gig'em means 'I'm a group thinking redneck imbecilic cult member' or something...

Awww, little Gremon is mad because OU pulled his offer when they got a commitment from Nic Harris and Reggie Smith.

Gig 'em comes from, yes, frog hunting. Way back when, it was used for a rallying cry right before A&M had to play #1 ranked TCU.

"Johnny Barr surprised me Tuesday night in Houston by saying that it is still possible for Gremon to make it in this Fall. He said Gremon has not passed the test yet and that is the problem, but he has not enrolled at Blinn like I thought I read some where and is still taking the test and could still make it in. The problem is that your High School GPA determines the test score you need (ie. the lower your HS GPA the higher your ACT/SAT score required). But from most postings I had gotten the impression that Coffman would not be here this Fall, but that may not be true. May be a small chance, but it is a chance. We are holding a scholarship for him according to Johnny."

He never made it to aTm because he could not get his qualifying scores to pass muster with the NCAA clearinghouse. Not sure he would of ever been a Sooner anyway.

I guess that his history classes differed with his opinion of it being a "Gig 'em world." Perhaps his ag classes never told him that he would reap that which he has sown.

Regardless, he's dumb and we rule.

I'll take our safeties over this guy any day and not just because he's a dumbass. He's not the first guy to take A&M over OU. Fuller would be in the mix on the #1 team in the country right now, but I guess it was more important to be the go to guy in crappy offense. Pierre Brown was also one of those guys who felt like A&M was the place to be and his best year was last year when he caught 217 yards.

Anybody know what 'gig 'em' means?

If the Aggies weren't so diligent about washing their $hit off their thumbs, you probably wouldn't have to ask this question.
