so then I'm getting calls asking about what's wrong with the application because he took away all the users sql rights and they couldn't see the database

that added to the fun of me have to input 400k records, since i had to delay that since I could see the sql server, but wasn't sure what was going on at first.

Of the two cute girls, one is dating someone (I knew that already.) However, she ditched us tonight leaving me alone with the other girl, who is single.

Or so I thought.

Turns out, the girl that ditched us had invited another guy from work to go with us so he wouldn't feel left out. The guy is an Eeyore. And has a huge crush on the single girl. Fail.

So, we all decide to meet for dinner after work. I get there first and grab a table. Cute chick turns up next and sits straight across from me. Eeyore shows up and sits NEXT TO ME. WTF?

You got any infor on the new xps laptops coming out next month? I'm going to get a new one before I go overseas, right now it's sager or alienware unless dell drops a nice vidcard in their xps studio 15". Honestly, even with the nice repair hiccup this week, I'd still prefer a dell.

Join the club. It took me a month to get my company to fix my Niece's brand new XPS. My advice, buy an alienware. We haven't fugged up their company yet. You can get US support, you've just got to pay extra for the privilege though. Don't know anything about what's coming up. I'm just doing my time at this point. Once I get my PMP, I'm out.

well, I'm not sure if they've fixed the hinge issue in the m15x

it has the vid card I want, but if they haven't given it all metal hinges then I'll stay away from it. I also am balking at it because i would prefer an LED backlight on the display.

alienware also has plenty of issues. Anymore it's just a crap shoot. To be perfectly honest, I love my m1330, it's light and highly portable. I just want to move up to a 15.4 and more video memory (atleast 256 on a dedicated nVidia chip) to get better gaming performance. I still want decent portability. I don't want to go back to a 17" one. I carried my old one around this week and it's a night and day difference between a 10lb lap top and a 4.5 pound one. The extra screen size and resolution is nice it's not a deal breaker. I would even consider staying with a 13.3" display if I can get 256 vid memory

If you're buying XPS, you're buying from the consumer side of the house. Consumer side ='s plastic for just about everything but XPS desktops. And they're putting more plastic in them than ever before.

Our small business tech support is great, our consumer tech support succs. It's read the script and close the case ASAP. Doesn't matter if it's fixed or not. I will never advise another person to use it. You're better off getting it taken care of locally.

My own problem with support is that even though I told them the correct number and corrected him when he read back the incorrect phone number, they still put it in the system. That caused a delay in the tech coming out to replace the mainboard because they had the wrong number. It was basically phone support being lazy. I'm not calling in as it is unless i've already done troubleshooting and ran diagnostics so my phone calls are basically spent waiting for the rma or dispatch to be setup. This was only the second time i've had to call.

Let's see...

I probably woke up around 9:00am and drove from Broken Arrow to Norman. That's a minimum of two hours, and there was a pretty good thunderstorm going on right about Stroud.

I ate lunch at O'Connell's, then waddled my fat butt around campus taking pictures.

That's a couple hours at least.

I also stopped by the old fraternity house and yelled at some kids about how trashy and ****ed up the place looked. That was a couple more hours.
