Side note: my friend Ryan Patterson was a music review guy for the Oklahoma Daily. He went to Jackson Browne's show with his press pass and his minicassette recorder. You know what he got out of it?

Heck, I've already gotten my gift of Harry Potter 1-5 on BD and HD DVD (couldn't find a copy of 1 on HD DVD.)
The iPhone was mom and dad-they each said they'd pay for half of one, but didn't want to mess around with waiting in line at the store, so told me to go get one and they'd just hand me some cash. So, you know, mega sweet. I get a phone AND airline miles.

Yeah, I call BS on that. ;)
My stepdad gave me some great advice once, and I'm sure I've relayed it in this thread. Guy worked family law for years, and he told me "Mike, Filipinas are beautiful, they're passionate, and they're great cooks. Stay away. Every divorce I've ever handled where a Filipino was involved, someone got stabbed. Her. Him. SOMEONE wound up with a knife in them."

eh, the snow's melting. snow's fine. but my brain does not want to focus very well here. mainly because the house is very very quiet and this chair is not very comfortable.
And it doesn't help that usually I would have another 10 hours or so to work...I'm used to getting most of my work done in the evenings.
but HERE, I only have about 2 hours at the most. My mom will get home from work at 4-4:30, then my dad will want dinner, and then they'll want to park in front of the tv the rest of the evening and pester me if i want to sit at a computer instead of watching dvds.
I can't decide if I want to try and start on the giant pile of laundry I've amassed in my room or actually go to the clubhouse and work out tonight. Last Saturday night reminded me that if I could just get in shape, I'd be an unstoppable force of charming sex appeal with "the ladies". And that, for some reason, appeals to me. :D

Nah, we didn't have AT&T up here until a week or so ago. We had Cellular One (which, ironically, purchased all of AT&T's assets up here several years back) and once regulatory approval of AT&T's merger with Dobson went through, we got iPhones.
Which was last week.

No. I put off dumping her because she was attractive and smart and I was hoping that the spark would develop. It did not.
I dumped her because she's clingy and completely dependent on other people to rescue her.
I dated her for four weeks. In those four weeks, I received the following calls for assistance:
1. I can't reach my laundry hangers
2. I've fallen and I broke my leg (OK, that one's legitimate.)
3. My car is almost out of gas. Please come over and follow me home in case I run out of gas.
4. I'm locked out of my house.

One of my favorites:
"Hey, I gotta go home and take a shower and change and stuff."
"Oh. I was hoping you could stay and help me with something."
"What's that?"
"Well, I told church that I'd make cream puffs for the party tomorrow."
"And?"
"Well, I need someone to poke the holes in them while they're still hot. I can't reach the counter to do it and I can't put the pan on my lap while it's still hot."
I actually ended up doing about half to three-quarters of the work on those damn cream puffs.
