Well, there's not THAT much to tell. I mean, she IS still in NYC at the moment. Anyway, last night she asked me to call her first thing this morning because she's about to leave for Europe for a month with her family and didn't want to miss me before she left.

So I call her first thing in the morning and she's basically still incoherent groggy so she asks if she can call me when I get off work. Fast forward to after work; she calls at just barely after 5. We talk for a while and toward the end, as I'm telling her to have fun in Europe I say "hey, try not to pick up some Euro boyfriend while you're over there." She says "why not?!?!" to dig for a reaction. I tell her to call it a favor. She says "a favor for who?" (I swear, do chicks take classes on this stuff?) So I say that I can't speak for any secret admirers she might or might not have, but I'd appreciate it. She just says "Sven and Lars are going to be SO disappointed." Then she had to go meet the rest of her family at the airport.

Well, that's a good sign, at least.

Hair-cuttin' chick doesn't look to be happening for me. :(

I think it's payback for guys not taking hints regarding presents and such...or pretty much about anything. Guys just don't take hints. So in return, when a guy tries to hint at something, girls pretend to be clueless. Hahaha

TIME CAPSULE FEVER CONTINUES IN TULSA!

TULSA, Oklahoma (NP) - Tulsans have a rare chance to make history this Saturday when Under The Mooch Records buries a time capsule in a specially prepared vault in the store’s parking lot. Those attending are encouraged to bring items to place in the custom made time capsule. “The stuff they bring should be representative of what life in Tulsa was like in the year 2007,” said owner Bart Ford. “That way we can give Tulsans of The Future a glimpse into how things are today. How crude our technology will no doubt appear to the people of The Future!”

Also being put in the ground is a tan four door 1977 Subaru, which will be given away when it is dug up exactly one year from now. This special occasion, dubbed Under The Moocharama, is part of the one year anniversary celebration taking place from noon to midnight on Saturday, June 30th. The event will take place at Under The Mooch Records, located at 1425 S Harvard.

“Tulsa has a long and proud tradition of entombing vehicles in badly prepared concrete vaults,” said Ford. “We are closely patterning our event after the Tulsarama celebration of 1957, but with one important difference. We have developed a way to cram 50 years worth of rust and deterioration into only ONE YEAR, which should prove once and for all we’re better than Oklahoma City.” :D

Nate Hood, the event coordinator, explained the process: “First, we’ll wrap the car in about 168 wet Urban Tulsa newspapers. Next we’ll seal it up with some stretch wrap we found in the dumpster, and finally, cover the whole thing with aluminum foil. The aluminum foil serves no real purpose, but should give it a really cool futuristic look. Then we’ll use a garden hose to put about 1500 gallons of water in the vault, and then it’s “goodbye” to the Subaru and time capsule for one whole year! Oh, and I’d like to extend a special THANKS to Curtis Beckwith, who generously donated the car.”

Those attending Saturday’s Under The Moocharama event will be asked to guess what Bart’s exact weight will be on June 28th, 2008, which is when the time capsule and car will be unearthed. Participants are encouraged to record guesses to within a millionth of a gram, as the weight scales of The Future are expected to be much more accurate than the crude devices we use today. Whoever guesses Bart’s weight closest will win the car! Of course, by 2008, it may prove to be nothing more than a curious artifact of the distant past. The second place winner will receive a rusty case of Schlitz beer.

Under The Moocharama will also include an all day music festival, free barbeque and beverages, prizes, and a special surprise celebrity appearance!

Hooray. Well, if I'm going to get stuck with the payback anyway I'm just gonna stop taking chicks' hints, then. ;)

She was actually there right then. I don't know if she would have had time to track you down, though. She said right after she got back out there (from here) there was some sort of woodwind-y thing going on and she was busy roughly 9 am to 2 am every day for a week and a half, followed by her family showing up out there and then they all leave for Europe.

yes, i'm aware of that, i used to live there.....but they dont call it the beach.....they call it the shore

dont ask me why, they just do

where in jersey are you?no, i just mean that it's a different usage of the word. At least IMO. Most places if you say "I'm going to the beach" it means you're going to the place with lots of sand where the waves come up on the land. If you say you're going to the shore, it means you're going down to the area where there is a shore... but that could mean you're going to a restaurant there or a boardwalk or something. But you can go to the shore without going to the sandy place where the waves come up on the land. I guess maybe in other places they use "beach" that way too. I dunno--we don't have beaches OR shores in Kansas.

My grandma lives in Fords (right on the edge of Woodbridge)

the only time I heard of an agitator is when running a PDC. You can get rough with the tri-cones, jamming it up and down and bumping it on the bottom. As a PDC's cutting stucture is finely tuned and somewhat more fragile, it cant take that punishment. I have seen PDC's missing the diamond wafer buttons caused by it.

Where's the whipstock you ask? At the bottom of the hole. We went to tag up yesterday about noonish. It was not at 1500 feet like it should have been. We may get started drilling today.

I don't know. i never do. I'm even starting to wonder why i come to this thread...half the time i don't have a clue what anyone's talking about.
Me neither. I think this thread could use more discussions about mac and cheese. Mmmmm...cheese.
