Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield was named the MVP of the Sugar Bowl. Oklahoma might have missed out on the College Football Playoff, but it made the most of its postseason opportunity — and perhaps set itself up for a strong run in 2017 — with a 35-19 thrashing of Auburn in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The game was close in the first half with the Sooners leading 14-13 at halftime, but out of the locker room, the Sooners scored first and put the pressure on an Auburn offense that was without starting quarterback Sean White.
