Because we don't want to talk about OSU football :stunned:

Arguably the low point was Bob Bowlsby sticking his foot in his mouth.

Bowlsby says Big 12 members are committed to "eradicating sexual assault" on campus. He says "it almost goes without saying that when you combine alcohol and drugs and raging hormones and the experiences of 18-22 years old, it's probably unrealistic to think that these kinds of things are never going to happen."

Other stuff of note --- Kliff says Tech voted for, not against, the Baker Mayfield rule:

“I loved coaching (Mayfield), loved the chip on his shoulder, loved the way he plays the game, cheer for him every game except one,” Kingsbury said. “It’s been fun to see the success he’s had. … I think (OU) is where he wanted to be, and it worked out.”

Kansas' winless season was bad and Beaty feels bad:

Iowa State's new coach says Oklahoma among recruiting focus:

TCU's Patterson does not care about Baylor (at least not publicly):

Continues tomorrow with OU stuff instead of just mentions by others :)

Today was OU's day at Big 12 media days in Dallas.

Bunch of links here:

Of note:

Bob Stoops promotes Bill Bedenbaugh, Kerry Cooks to assistant coordinator positions

Question: "Coach, in light of all the increased public awareness on domestic violence on-campus sexual assault and things like that, have you found it difficult to rationalize or justify the existence of Joe Mixon as a full scholarship athlete?"

Stoops: "You're talking about a situation that occurred three summers ago, I believe, right? And Joe Mixon was punished. We've already been through all of this. He's met high standards. Continues to have to meet high standards to remain a part of the football team, but he has done so all along. So everybody has different measures of what's enough punishment and what is not.

"In the end, we felt, myself along with our administration, that this was the right punishment and he's met all the conditions we put in front of him and he was removed for a full season."

"That's one game I don't have to even give a pep talk,” he said. “When be walk out there, when you come back in there is so much energy in the stadium that not much has to be said.

“Hopefully I’m going another 10 years or so. I don’t think I’ll be one of those guys — God bless them, like Coach (Bill) Snyder — but I sure can go to retirement age.”

West Virginia is boring, so let's skip right ahead to arguably the worst press conference of the Big 12 media days blah blah, even worse that Bob Bowlsby essentially saying that rape on campuses was inevitable, I give you: Baylor acting head football coach, "Al!"

The problems that we’re dealing with at Baylor or have dealt with at Baylor to this point are probably problems at every university in the country,"

Once again, the Big 12 and Baylor leaders would like to reiterate that rape on campus is inevitable.

This mullet stuff doesn't surprise me. Boone a@m really knows how to fit the bill when it's in need of updating it's image.
