The 5th seed Sooners lost to the 4th Seed W. Va. in day 1 on Wednesday. That means they have to win either 4 or 5 straight in this double elimination tournament. If they don't win the tournament, they won't be going to the NCAA tourney for the 3rd straight season, by coincidence, the 3rd year of coaching by Pete Hughes.

TCU defeated W. Va. for the Big 12 post season title. The 64 team NCAA field is announced and the 3 teams from the Big 12 entered are: Texas Tech, TCU, and OSU. For the 3rd straight season, OU's season ended in the Big 12 tournament.

Of the 3 Big 12 teams that made the NCAA, OSU and TCU made the 16 team super regionals. Texas Tech plays a final game against Dallas Baptist on Monday with the winner also going to the Super Regionals.

Update: Texas Tech won Monday night so 3 Big 12 teams made the sweet 16 Super Regionals: OSU, TCU, and Texas Tech.

Both OSU and TCU made it to the Final Four of teams in the College World Series but both lost two straight and the Finalists are Arizona and Coastal Carolina. They will play a 2 out of 3 series starting on Monday.
