Holy **** - we are left with two of the worst possible choices for President. A criminal and an idiot - wait that's both of them. What's worse - we have absolutely no recourse. Usually I'd say a president has no effect on your life because they are stymied by congress, the court, or their own incompetence. That's probably still true but I feel like these two dweebs will push that hypothesis to the limit.

OT - Good to see a few of you are still kicking on here.

This could have been written in mid November of 2008. While I'm sure 47% of the people think that the socialist Kenyan muslim has been bad for us that's not what most people around the US and the world think.

Indeed. Its so sad that these are the options. Screwed if you vote and screwed if you didn't.

I'd vote for Colin Powell in a heartbeat if he ran.

I'm pretty self-centered about it, but my family and I have done very well during the Obama years after a brutal Bush period. Money isn't everything, but it makes a big difference in providing for your family and your future security. My net worth declined after 8 years of Bush and the great recession and it looked like I would have to work until my death - which is fine except, there would have been no jobs available to do it. After 7.5 years of the socialist Kenyan muslim, I've increase my net worth 2.5x and have a prayer of retiring during the next President's first term if s/he doesn't screw things up. I do need SS/Medicare to provide a minimum of ~80% of current benefits to make the numbers work, so no guarantees.

Interesting viewpoint on an "rilly rightie board"....
Personally, I know of those who railed against the Kenyan's health
care idea until they saw that the preexisting condition of the wife's
breast cancer was no barrier for him to get insurance for her...others
with similar experience about the 26 year old daughter who was able
to stay on mom's health care...several more examples coupled with
the failing economy that has SIX YEARS OF PRIVATE SECTOR JOB
GROWTH as well as increasing wages, a strong stock market, lower
gas prices...yadda yadda..oh yeah, the three BILLION DOLLARS saved
by seniors in the infamous "doughnut hole". Sorry to bore you folks
with success ( the factual type)...you can can look 'em up...

One Pub after another talks about the failed Kenyan's gov't...wow, let's
watch for a successful one from your side...it has taken a Dem to fix
Reagan/Bush I and Bush II. C'mon, tell me I'm wrong...23m new jobs
and, wow, a balanced budget and then a prez that promptly pi$$es it
away...hmmm, a couple of unfunded wars to start with....

Awww, sorry, I'm a "Silent Generation type person". so sh-h-h-h.

I lost about 1/3 of my net worth after the Bush Crash. Took a long time to get back to where I wuz.

I then saved my kala, invested wisely and retired at 62. I don't get retirement pay or health pay. My employer only matched a small % of what I put into savings.

Those yokels who say Obama drove the economy in the ground just didn't make the right choices with what they worked for.
