I know there is a thread in the political forum, but we lost our beloved resident Baylor fan yesterday. He was 33 years old.

Froston was one of a kind. Some of his opinions were borderline wacky, but I think he knew that. He was sharper than what many gave him credit for with his political views and thoughts on all things Baylor. Many of us that have been around for years have seen him experience good and bad(see SicEm Ex).

I am glad that he did manage to see a resurrection of Baylor Bear football in his life. Godspeed my friend. Sic 'em Bears.

I'm gonna miss him.
He has been a part of my experience on this site since the day I joined...forever ago now. I had some great conversations with that guy. Sharp as a tack.
Sorry to see him go too early.

Gonna miss you Froston. He and I scored tickets from an SF tailgate and watched Baylor vs OU together. He was a character, but a truly nice individual

I am also shocked and sad. Though I typically found his politics infuriating and delusional, I always knew he was a good guy. Some time ago we talked about meeting for a drink if he came to New Orleans. (Assuming he could find the place -- his wrong way trip story was epic stuff.) I guess I'll have to have one for him now.

He was one of a kind. Anybody know how/why he died so unexpectedly?

Scott D
1/26/2016, 02:33 PM
No official cause yet, but according to his mother he had been ill for the past few weeks. And with him being a small person and having type 1 diabetes, it's a situation where not seeing medical professionals in a timely manner can be worse than for most people.

Wow, talk about a time capsule. There were people in that thread that haven't posted here in years including another one who has since passed away (MamaMia). That thread had it all including a reference to SoonerWill. Those were the good old days.

From his mother:

After getting to Waco we contact a upper respiratory infection. Froston took it harder because he had diabetes type 1. For days I tired to get him to go to the hospital and he refused. He lost his appetite and started having trouble breathing. I ran to the store to see if I could find him some type of medicine, he called me and said he could not breath, so I told him as soon as I got back he was going to the hospital. When I got back he had passed away in the bathroom. They took him to Dallas last night for an autopsy. I will keep him here in Waco where he wanted to be.

Tragic. HOw terrible that this happened to such a young person, and equally tragic that his mother had to find him. No on should have to bury their children.

I don't remember what type of feud it was but it got to the point that I unfriended him on facebook... we later called a truce here even if the Baylor bashing was ceaseless until OU finally came out on the winning side in football this past season.

Whatever the feud was, it was likely your typical Internet nonsense that life is too short for. I'm glad he got to see Baylor be good at football, MBB and WBB during his lifetime. Back when he was a student there, all three were very much in question.

RIP

Rumor was this was one of his Hoax's. Ive been assured by STEP that he did indeed pass.
Just that NO ONE can find a death notice in Texas OR Oklahoma, So it made it suspect.

If you arent feeling well, go to the DR. This could have probably been prevented. I got to meet him a few times, he was kooky but that is what made him the person he was. He was passionate about things and it was a part of him. RIP my man

I didn't much like him, but still sad to lose life that early. My thoughts and... er... thoughts to those who knew him personally. Losing one of our relatively small community is sad. He was ultimately one of us. Gee... very young.

With Froston, I found that people either really liked him... or did not like him at all. And to me, that is a very high compliment as to how he lived his life. Perhaps there is nothing more sad than to live a life without notoriety or passion... to merely exist in a gray twilight.Young Sic was certainly opinionated (and not all of it well informed) and put himself out there.Rest in Peace Hombre.

I had trouble initially with his opinions but grew to respect him in spite of himself (and myself). We ended up pretty good friends at SoonerFans. I'll miss him and wish him well in the afterlife.

Some of you need to keep your "opinions" to yourself. You did not know this guy and his family and you don't have a right to give half hearted half assed back handed condolences on a thread meant to respect his passing.

Not that I'm surprised. Some of you just can't help yourself. Your goddamn politics surpass even the grave. Time for a priority check.

His mind was obviously respected by most on this board. Many didn't agree with some of his stances and conclusions, but he was a talented writer and extremely able to express himself. (Probably was a pretty good typist, too) It speaks highly of him that so many have commented on his passing. Of course, being so young has something to do with that, but it seems to me he made quite an impression.
