I would think with bama's offensive line and def line philosophy, plug and play, that they can put an avg to decent RB back there and still win 9 10 11 games. Not that Henry is avg at all...but Coker didn't strike me as "special" but he has a heck of a line protecting and paving the way for him.

Don't see much of a drop off...but who knows.

I can still see him bursting through OUr line during the Sugar Bowl, making those long runs, thought he would single-handedly win it for bama but even he got gassed. Have to hand it to their training staff to get him into shape for 2015, 90 carries in those two consecutive games! The guy is a beast in the college game.

Their cupboard is full - they'll be just fine.

I saw he will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick----No love for running backs

It was expected. He's broke all our rushing records, won the heisman, and the NC. What left at the college level is there for him to accomplish or do that would add any value to his draft stock? He certainly has the size and skill set to play in the NFL, my only concern for him is his ability to move laterally. Derrick is a great north/south, down hill runner, but if he has a weakness it is the ability to cut and change directions. With the speed he will face at the next level, that could be a problem, and is one reason that I do not think he will be a first round pick.

I'm sure Henry will have a successful NFL career, but not exactly what the pros look for as Sabanball points out. The best back I saw this year was that kid at FSU (Cook?), but he's not in the draft this time around.

Run to the sidelines at the end of a game and propose to a girl?

They'll be fine, but they'll be downgrading.
