OL read all that press about how good they were after the RRR and forgot or reverted back to their early season chitty form. Clemson's won the trenches on both sides of the ball especially in the 2nd half. Just hard to win at this level w/o winning at least some at the LOS especially when you've got these crappy refs. I'm still pizzed about that no-call on the pass interference earlier.........and then they flag us for a PI.
Going to to take a whole lot of Sooner Magic for us to get back in this one.
Sure would've like to have seen several well-designed screen passes to our RBs for some YAC as well as slow down their blitz/rush.

Agreed, blatant PI on Clemson not called and then marginal PI against us called. But the refs didn't win this game for Clemson, it's our O-line not quite ready yet as you say. And that's not a criticism. Getting to the CFP with 2 FR OTs is crazy.

A mobile QB beat us again. Texas & Heard/Swoopes beat us and were pretty one-dimensional in doing it. A healthy Boykin & TCU probably beats us - and we aren't even playing in Miami tonight if that happens.

Losing Walker hurt more tonight than we realized - they gashed us up the middle all night with Gallman.

Let's face it - 11-2 is not bad. But we didn't reach the ultimate goal. Time to re-tool and fill the gaps left by Tapper, Striker, Shepherd, et al. Time to recruit and build up the lines.

The passes were open behind the linebackers all night long. The problem was Mayfield got rattled and kept going for the home run fade. He just had one of those nights where everything he did ended up bad (like that last INT).

I've been since the game, LR should have stuck with the game plan from KSU. That was the plan that best suits this team. Why the crap he seems to like to go with the deep ball when his O-line is getting crushed (tonight, whorn) is beyond me.

And they will stick with a game plan even when it hurts. Have you seen the movie Tin Cup? Kevin Costner's character drives ball after ball into the water just to prove a point. He finally makes it, but at the expense of losing the Open. That's what it feels like Bob does sometimes. He'll run the same plays, fail after fail just to get the one or two times that it does actually work.
