South Florida can do that to you

Saddly, it brings to mind the year Arkansas sent 3 home before we played them in the OB

Being an undisciplined a-hole can also do that to you...

Losing the WR Cain doesn't help them any, the other two, not so much.

Luckily we have the '78 OB as a reminder that this doesn't change anything, let the distraction be a Clemson problem instead thinking it gives us any kind of advantage.

wow,
Cain and the back-up TE have already served suspended games this year, and Lakip the kicker, was suspended 3 games for cocaine possession....wow.

Lakip supposedly handles kickoffs and extra points...so that might be an issue...maybe not.

This is rich. Found this on Tiger Board:

Well I am hearing that Oklahoma has players that

Failed a drug test too but they haven't suspended anyone and are opting to appeal and have them sit for the national
Title game if they make it.

My belief is if you fail a drug test you shouldn't get to play period.

To their credit, other posters asked repeatedly for a link and there was no reply.

there is NO WAY Stoops would allow that...I honestly believe that.

Now, I also believe Stoops isn't stoopid...I'm sure he's made it known that IF you want to party, wait til AFTER the NC game. Again, not condoning it...but knows the reality.

On top of that I'm sure the vocal players have made it know as well.

And now the conspiracy theorists crawl out of the woodwork:

Is it possible that either an OU player or ESPN employee

spiked their drinks with something?

Yup. We always go for the backup TE and the kick off specialist. It's a classic of ours.

Except everyone that can remember that game is either dead or posting on this board (that's about 10 total).

We do as fans. The players couldn't care less about 1978.

you don't think Coach Stoops walked into the locker-room, fixed his eyes on each and every player like Coach Eric Taylor....picked up the chalk and wrote "Roland Sales" on the board?

Really? You care about what happened over 35 years ago? That's not being a fan, that's sounds more like someone that needs counseling... :joyous:

And why is that? Because I am kidding around with some folks that apparently are mature enough to "get it"? Besides, I started this freakin thread...

I was at the game, but even if I survive a few more years, dementia will take care of the memory.

BTW, I live in Palo Alto now and gave up on that snow shoveling thing.

Then the players "googled" that name and watched a squiggly VCR taped youtube implosion of a lost national championship in the OB by OU.
