Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield has won the Burlsworth Award, given to the top college football player who began his career as a walk-on. Mayfield has helped lead the Sooners to the College Football Playoff, where they will face Clemson in a semifinal at the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31. Originally from Austin, Texas, Mayfield began his career as a walk-on at Texas Tech.
