Even the AP, which seems to value the cause of not dropping a team unless they lose, jumped 1-loss OU over 0-loss Iowa.

And you know why? Because you look at the other potential playoff teams as a coach and ask yourself who you DO NOT want to play right now.

Boom! OU that's who!

Ooops! Not boom but ... BOOMER!

It would have to be an Alabama loss, Clemson loss and Stanford win over USC.

Stanford. How will the committee get Stanford into the playoff?I will be pulling for usuc for sure this weekend, just to insure that 2 loss(already) Stanford isn't mysteriously inserted into the playoff.

Why would you care whether it's Stanford or tOSU? tOSU would bother me more as they have only had to play 2 good teams and lost one of them. And they won't even win their division.

Nope, I don't think so. I think it will be perceived as showing what a sham Clemson's run was rather than how good the Tar Heels are.

They have the same problem as Baylor from last year. OOC games included 2 FCS teams. Then they played in the weak division of the ACC and played no team in the top 25. They would have the conference title, but in what is considered the weakest conference to go along with that 1 win. It would definitely put the committee in a bind. My guess is that the committee would pass on UNC and either go to 1 loss tOSU or 2 loss Stanford. tOSU would be cruising on last year's title and one win over Michigan. Stanford played a much tougher schedule and won a lot of tough games. Problem is, I'm predicting a USC win, so I just hope Clemson holds serve and things stay mostly as they are this week.
