There is "a very good possibility" that LSU will buy out Les Miles' contract, a high-ranking source involved in the decision regarding the coach's future told ESPN on Monday.

Before you all let er rip with the sucker comments, please be reminded that the last time ESPN reported major news regarding the coaching contract of Lester...well, Kirk Herbstreit better triple check his sources this time around. Agree. As much as I don't care for Les Miles... he was good for the program. What they needed was an offensive coordinator and/or a QB coach who work with the great recruiting classes and take them to the next level

I can understand the sentiment at Iowa State or Syracuse, wanting to bring in someone to turn things around, maybe get to say . . . 8-5?

But for LSU to do this is saying they do not believe a coach who won a National Championship and has at last count seven 10-win seasons is capable of duplicating past success.

I guess its the fact that it involves a huge buyout that i don't understand, which means it was not so long ago they expected to keep him around longer than this article suggests.

First, they boosted their resume, like a half-page paper getting double or triple-spaced to make it a full page:
