Why does this surprised anyone? Kliff against Big 12:

2013: 4-5
2014: 2-7
2015: 2-4

So far, 8-16. After winning his first seven games as a head coach, Kliff has gone 10-17.

He's 17-17 overall with three wins of those wins coming against FCS schools. He's 2-0 against UTEP, and 3-0 against Kansas. So, eight of his 17 wins in three season have been against puke competition.

He's awful...so, I hope Tech keeps him for another 10 years! The Sand Aggies will keep re-upping his contract if he can just get bowl eligible most seasons.

This season, they've got three games left:
11-7 @ W. Virginia
11-14 Kansas State
11-26 @ Texas

They could lose all three of those, leaving Kliff at home to coif his hair for a second bowl season in a row.

Much like UT beating us, there is currently no explanation for how or why Tech beat Arkansas. It's a fluke win that might lead TT to a bowl this season (they missed last year).

They just need one more. All three of those teams left of TT schedule are 3-win teams right now, if I'm not mistaken.

Also fun to note: Kliff is not a charity head coaching case with the alma mater doing him a favor or vise versa. Big boy contract with big boy incentives are in play, all signed after that initial 7-5 season:

Texas Tech and Kliff Kingsbury have agreed to a contract extension through 2020 that will pay $3.1 million in 2015 with a $200,0000 raise each year to $4.1 million in 2020, the school announced.
